E93 Rear Spoiler Pics

Hey guys...

Today is one of those pouring rainy days out where I am. A perfect day to shop around and spend more money upgrading the car and giving the wife something else to complain about

In another post someone made a comment about adding a rear spoiler to my car to offset the appearance and make it look a little more aggressive. At first I wasn't really into it, but then I started looking around a bit. The issue is, my car is an E93 vert... I see a TON of pics on the coupes, but no so much on the verts. Even doing a google search only leads to a few pictures and they are really not that clear either. I did a search on the forum as well, but didn't find anything... if I missed it, please post it up.

First... if you have a spoiler on your vert, please post it up.. especially if its a close up shot..

So I have a few questions.. I apologize if some of these are dumb...
- Are all of the spoilers interchangeable across the E90, E92 and the E93 platforms, or do they vary for some reason on the E93.
- I assume for the FULL trunk mounted spoilers, they are all held in with double-sided tape. I'm not looking for those large off the truck "T-type" of spoiler that you have to bolt on.
- What brands would you recommend?. I see a few people getting them from ebay. I'm not an ebay fan when it comes to this, I'd much rather purchase from a vendor.
- If I do go with one, I'm torn between color matching it, or going with Carbon Fiber to make the mirrors..

What do you guys think... do they look stupid on verts...? and if not, would you go with color-match or carbon fiber to match the mirrors..?

Here's a picture of the car for reference..

Pretty sure all 3 cars have slightly different trunk profiles. I know the E90 is not the same as the E92, not 100% about the E93 but the lack of spoilers on verts would indicate to me they are not the same and not common. And go with CF, nice bit of contrast is always good.

The E93 trunk is different. We were very careful shopping for ours and it wasn't clear on all the websites we visited.

I bought mine from JBspeed as well. Fitment was spot on with no gaps. These are the best pics of it I have at the moment. The price was good from him and has had it several years with no issues. From my understanding an E92 spoiler will fit but there will be fitment issues. I highly recommend JBSpeed and get one meant for E93.

Rand, thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I can just about see the thing. From what I can see it looks like a lower profile spoiler, is that correct...? is it color matched or carbon fiber..?

I'll add mine to this forum, so all e93 spoilers are in one thread.

I bought mine from:

Thanks Bhow..!!

So.... looking at your trunk picture, I have to ask one question and I'm pretty sure I know the answer. When it rains or snow's, does water or ice puddle up or does it drain off. My car is not a daily driver in the winter and it sits outside. I know, I know, but I only have a one car garage and my Cobra is in there.

On a side note, when are you going to change up those old wheels, and where is the matching Red Water bottle. I thought for sure you'd put that on the trunk... Kidding of course..

Hey Relax, I can't say how mine drains in rain and snow (My car stays in the garage year-round). I can say it does drain when I wash it. But maybe mostly because the drain is due to having a slight gap in the 3m tape in the center of the trunk lid.

When I applied the tape, I started the tape in the center and worked from there to the end of each side. I'm not sure if that's the proper way to apply it or not; but that's what I did.

On a side note: I probably should've bought a Melbourne Red e93 with the Fox Red interior! I do need more red in my life.

Yeah, not the best pics. It's a lower profile carbon fiber spoiler. I'll try to get better pics so you can see. I think you'll like the look of the spoiler on a E93. It adds something that the car is missing. I think JBspeed does color matching ones as well.

Are you sure that's a Flebay spoiler, that looks like a pretty good fit too.. Although you really can't see it all that well because the top of that trunk is so damn shiny...!! can you throw a little mud on there to dull it up a bit...lol.

Here are some better shots of JBspeed's carbon fiber spoiler. I think he even sells a high kick version now. Quality was top notch and fitment it spot on.

Mine is the same spoiler from JB. I ceramic coated mine before mounting for an extra layer of protection against fading.

Here is my Alpina rear spoiler. I need to find some better pics but I love it, and I haven't seen another E93 with it, at least in Chicago or NJ.

Looks great! Definitely one of a kind. I would imagine there aren't many out there like it.

On a different note, are you running wheel spacers? Or just wider rears than OEM 9.5"?

I dont have those wheels anymore, but when I did they were 19x11 rears so quite wide.

Found the original Alpina brochure for it. I did not pay that much lol.
