BUYER BEWARE of forum member "biglare"

I paid 1,500 for a damaged E92 m3 Dinan Midpipe...

I purchased it from him in January of this year and it arrived damaged and unusable.

When did they start allowing "call out" threads in the General Forum?

Sorry if it happened the way you say it did, but I'm sure there are two sides to this story.

Just out of curiosity. How was it shipped? Who was responsible for insuring? What was the condition of the package it arrived in?

Isn't this a shipping company issue? If I were buying something and having it shipped, I would expect it is my issue the minute the shipping company had possession and would ensure I paid for shipping insurance. Anyway, not sure what the two of you negotiated so my comment may not be relevant. Whenever I have shipped something to a buyer through the forum, I have ALWAYS paid for insurance on the item just in case.

Now, if it was damaged before shipping, that's another issue altogether.

If it's insured, talk to the shipping agency.

Diego,

First of all the midpipe was not damaged when it was shipped to you and I have several people that can attest to that.

When you contacted me about it being damaged I was immediately willing to help you out to pay for the repairs. You said you were going to get estimates and then get back to me. With every PM you sent I was always willing to help you out in my responses.

You sent me a PM on 4/21 saying that you got it repaired and you waited one day until you start posting this kind if thread? Not cool Diego.

I am busy like you and several others and do not check my PM's everyday.

Again, I am sorry the midpipe was damaged in shipping but you never told me to file a claim with the shipping company either.

All of this being said I am still and have always been willing to help you out with the repairs. Please post up pictures of the repair receipt and the shipping receipt and I will help you out as I said from day one!!!

Thank You,

Larry

This has been a very frustrating and expensive experience since January.

The seller has just contacted me and agreed to settle this and pay the repair cost of the damaged Dinan midpipe.

We evidently had a communication error.

Larry,

Wait a second......youre now telling me that the midpipe was not damaged when you shipped it to me? Are you calling me a liar Larry?

Why didnt you address this with me on the phone a few minutes ago????

WHO can attest that the pipe wasnt damaged when it arrived to my home when I'm the only one who saw it at my home.

Post the PM that said I had it repaired. That is flat out lie!

I will post the contact info of the fabrication shop that has the pipe in there shop right now in it's original condition when I received it- BENT.

I told you not to file a claim until I could get an estimation on repair costs.

I sent it to Dinan and one other shop and then the local shop where it is at now. I now have a repair quote and I havent heard from you and you havent been responding to my PM's yet, although you have posted on this board in the meantime. Not cool Larry.

It is your responsibility as the seller to make sure the part arrives to the buyer in the condition you stated it was in at the time of purchase.

Is this not true?

This is all bullshit Larry.

Sounds to me you have to complain to the shipping company. Also, I'd watch my language...
it was insured for 500 and I have had an issue with getting the mid pipe returned from a shop that wanted to repair it. They wanted to charge about 550 for shipping it back to me.

How does saying it was not damaged when it was shipped make you a liar? Is it possible it was damaged in transit by some goon at UPS?

Diego, I was just stating that the midpipe was not damaged when it was shipped to you. It was damaged in shipping. I'm not calling you a liar.

All we discussed on the Phone still stands!

Please call me if you have any questions and I look forward to resolving this issue next week.

Thanks!

Larry
