Hi,
I spotted a white E92 M3 driving around with a damaged bonnet today, from Churchlands to Innaloo area. Not sure if the guy is on this forum? Obviously there will soon be a bonnet available at a panel shop somewhere in Perth area. It had a sharp dent almost at the headlight, near the grille. You wouldn't need normal bog, you would need panel bonding compound (body glue), similar to the stuff that holds the carbon roof on the car. Plus perhaps some pop rivets to hold it down while the glue is curing. Of course some bog to even out the joint. One problem is that you may also want to patch in, or cut out some of the reinforcements below the bonnet. Were you going to cut a hole to see the hump from below, or just stick it on top as a hidden cavity? Cheers, |
