Moved from 535i F10 to 2011 M3

Just bought my second BMW last Saturday the 19th., went from a 2011 F10 535i to 2011 M3 Jerez Black Metallic coupe with Black interior. What a awesome car WOW!!!! it's night and day compared to my 535i 6MT. I so love the M Double-clutch Transmission with Drivelogic still learning how to use it. Lucky for me I can read the manual

Electronic Damper Control
Dynamic Stability Control

Nice car! After two E60's (a 545 and a 550), skipped the F10 and went straight into the M3. Enjoy the new to you M3!

Congrats! FYI dampers are not dynamic.

that what it said on the sheet but you are right. DSC and EDC and MDM still learning on this M3

Apparently they are. There's a thread about it. If the info is correct from what everyone in it is saying, it is dynamic for sure in Normal mode. Questionable if it's dynamic in the comfort or sport modes.

The car has EDC (Electronic Damping Control) where you can adjust the stiffness of the suspension...

Hey congratulations to you, but you didn't exactly leave a slouch of a car, either. After we picked my M up in Spartanburg in April, my missus was sold on the brand. Fast forward a few months later, and we went out and picked her up a 2012 535! She loves it, and could not be happier, but you're right, they are two different animals! Yin and yang, and wouldn't you know it, mine is white and hers is black! LOL...But hey, enjoy that beautiful M!

The official line is that cars without the competition package have dynamic Comfort and Normal modes, and the competition package made the Sport setting also dynamic.

I haven't driven a ZCP car, but the static Sport mode is practically useless unless you are on glass-like roads.

That's too funny my wife wanted a Lexus IS 250 her is white, tried to get her into a 335i but she loves cruising or should I say zooming in the new baby

I too moved from an F10 535i to an M3. The 5 series was nice but it took all of 30 seconds to forget that it ever existed. I should have gone with the M3 from the beginning. With that said, I agree that a 535i and M3 combo would be tough to beat.
