My dad brought home one of his old notebooks from work that was beyond cleaning up. I zeroed out the HDD and installed Ubuntu.
So far, I like this OS. It's well thought out. I probably couldn't deal with it as my only OS, but for a backup computer, it works just fine. |

Unless you are doing some serious tracking, some SS brake lines, slotted rotors and some good pads are all you should need if you want to improve your stock brakes.

The caliper is the issue. Quote:
Honestly, if you've never flushed your fluid, do that and upgraded to motul660 or castrol srf, it'll cost about $50/liter for Castrol. then if your pads are fine, you can use them. Upgrading is always a great idea but you don't track often so it shouldn't really make that much of a difference for you StopTech Street perf if you want dual purpose. It's about $50 a corner. SS lines are $120? I'm going to be selling mine soon btw. Once they're off the car. And I can sell my stoptech pads too, they're at about 50% IIRC. I'll measure once they're off the car. I can't set a price yet as I don't know their life, but I could probably sell the lines and pads to you for cheap. $200 for pads, $120 for lines new I'd probably list them FS at $150, but you can have it cheaper. $120 seems fair? either way, i need to see the condition of the pads. if they're at like 30% or 80%... it'll change what they're worth. If you change pads, remember to bed them in properly Quote:
If there was an option to just change calipers, I'd do it. but there isn't

Yep, 1/5th scale RC is expensive too. We all have the same sickness.
Anyway, I have never tracked my car nor do I plan to till my lease is up. But if I did, I would be interested in your gear for sale when its up for sale. I would ant to know before you post up the FS thread. I think if I were to track, for the first day out, I would just see what I thought of the stock system... D |

For all around performer: automotive, portrait, walkaround lense
Which would you pick 85L or 70-200L is mk ii I have heard people saying 70-200 mk ii can produce photos as sharp as 85L with about the same amount of Bokeh at 200mm compare to 85L @ well...85mm But 70-200 more verstile and covers wider range but Heavy! I do have 70-200L is f/4 but was thinking about upgrading to 70-200L is mkii then second thought for 85L came to my mind... Should I just stick to what I have and add 85L? Or 50L or 35L? I should have kept all of my L's |
