Warning-Apex Website Incorrect Info

If you are looking to purchase wheels and TPMS sensors from Apex direct, please note that their website is posting wrong information on the wheel sensors.

This is what is currently posted:

3 Series + M3
•E46: 1999 (September) – 2002 (February) – OEM part#: 36-11-8-378-681
•E46: 2002 (March) – 2003 (August) – OEM part#: 36-11-8-378-682
•E9X: 2005 – 2010 (September) – OEM part#:36-23-6-781-847
•E9X: 2010 (October) – 2012 – OEM part#:36-10-6-790-054
•F3X: 2011 (February) – present – OEM part#: 36-10-6-798-872

I have a 2010 BMW M3 manufactured date of 9/2009. By the above information, I would need part#:36-23-6-781-847.....this in not correct, the date range is wrong. I actually need part#:36-10-6-790-054.

All other website's such as Turnermotorsports.com and Bimmerworld.com as well as RealOEMParts.com post the correct information.

I purchased a set of ARC-8's 18x10's wheels from them just last week for a track event next week at VIR, and ordered the wheel sensors as they suggested per their website. Had a set of Nitto NT-01's mounted and luckily put them on the car prior to the event just to test them out. In doing so, I discovered that the TPMS would not reset.

So, buyer beware!!!

Great news!!!

Apex corrected their website:

3 Series + M3
•E46: 1999 (September) - 2002 (February) - OEM part#: 36-11-8-378-681
•E46: 2002 (March) – 2003 (August) - OEM part#: 36-11-8-378-682
•E9X: 2005 - 2009 (August) - OEM part#:36-23-6-781-847
•E9X: 2009 (September) - 2013 - OEM part#:36-10-6-790-054
•F3X: 2011 (February) - present - OEM part#: 36-10-6-798-872

Was contacted by Apex and they have agreed to take care of the cost to dismount, remount and balance the wheels.

I'm glad to see a company that stands behind their product and services, it's not everyday you see this anymore. I'm a happy customer once a again.

Thanks ApexRacing.com.

CMBeamerM5,

We're very sorry we weren't initially aware of the additional costs that you had incurred, and are more than happy to compensate you for them. It was our mistake and therefore our responsibility.

Also, we appreciate you pointing out the error on our Website. It was recently launched and unfortunately, this wasn't caught. Immediately after you have contacted us on Monday, we had the part numbers fixed on our product page.

Thank you for your continual support, and we are glad to have you as a customer.

It's too bad in 2014 posting experiences online are what prompts the "right thing to do"

In any event at least it worked out for ya, I can imagine how pissed/upset you must've been when mounting the wrong ones.

I bought a set of 10x18 ARC8s in the group buy (thanks Apex for a wonderful deal btw!), and I told the person on the phone at that time that the web site listed the wrong sensor P/N for my 9/2010 build (i.e. 2011.5) M3; hopefully they will have it corrected now. I had them send the proper p/n sensors with the wheels, and everything worked out fine. Prompt shipping of group buy wheels (well over 100 orders for them) was appreciated also. They arrived in perfect condition.

I used them this past weekend at the Performance Center autox with fresh NT-01s.

BTW - you don't need to have your tires removed, you can change TPMS without pulling the tire off all the way. You do need to rebalance them, but $240 for balancing is quite a bit.

Apex is the best.
Not sure why this thread was necessary if they immediately fixed it though...
