Speed District Track Event: May 31 @ WSIR (Tons, tons of pictures & desktops)

As many of you know, I started Speed District back in 2010 only because the normal track events I was going to.. wasn't for me. The goal of Speed District is to get 50 M3s out in one track day and call it a day. I hope to one day get that goal!

I always post them up in the California section but shoot me a email, i'll be sure to email you about the next one, It wont be until september though.

it's seriously awesome hanging out with other m3 owners, jumping for a ride in their car, seeing/feeling what suspension they have, exhaust, tires, everything. It's always a great day.

This is the 3F kit. They have a front lip, rear diffuser and rear trunk wing. They are releasing all their products in the next two months with an update.

BTW, Josh...is your event okay for beginners or do you recommend we take a course or something first?

can we just run the track, without focussing on lap times...just to feel out/experience the track?

this event creates 3 distinct groups - advances, intermediate and beginner. each group has a set of rules specific to them with the beginner group being given the most careful instructions.

I myself went out as a beginner. it was my first time on a track. they give you some good instruction and offer you the ability to purchase individualized instruction at a good price. the entire experience is well worth it and so was the individualized instruction. I learned a lot, and will definitely be back. you might say I'm hooked.

Josh, once again you held another great event with awesome guys to chat with and be on the track with.

For those of you who have not been to a Speed District event, it's safe to say you are missing out because it feels like a private/exlusive event and you always feel safe, especially when its always familiar faces. Everyone gets to know each other more and more and each others driving styles while helping each other out to improve on the track. It's also nice to see new faces and being able to offer them advice. If you have never tracked before, this is one of the best ways to start because of the increased safety and experience of some of the drivers out there.

I wish there were going to be more events for the summer, but it is starting to warm up a bit, so it may be a bit tough on the cars.
