Brake Pad help!

I’m currently running the stock setup with Motul dot4 fluid and stainless brake lines. I’m starting to get into tracking and I need a recommendation for street/track pads. Looking for a pad that’s low noise for daily driving but still suitable for spirited driving and occasional track use. I was considering maybe the hawk HPS pads or the HP+ pads but open to any other recommendations. Thanks!

are you handy enough to swap pads for the track day?

yes, good pads. you can also swap along the ferodo line without pad deposit issues.

I can swap pads if necessary but I prefer not to as I am new to tracking and I don't want to buy separate pads for street and track yet.

Ds2500's then. and if you're tracking at laguna, bring stuff just in case you have to change them.

PFC Z-Rated. I ran them double duty for a while with SRF fluid, great pads. Never noticed any fade with Michelin PS4S, but for stickier tires you would want a proper track pad. Also depends if your running tracks that are heavy on braking, and what your style is. I did 4 track days on the Z-Rated and probably 3k street miles and they still had plenty of life left. I recently moved to PFC 11's which are fantastic too, they definitely make some noise on the street but its tolerable.

My PFC08s actually aren't that loud during casual street driving as long as I don't put too many street miles on between my weekly track days. I've also subconsciously adapted to the pressure ranges which cause squeal. I imagine spirited street driving would be quite...squealy.

Ds2500 + srf is the best dual purpose set up in terms of ability to handle track heat
