If I had 1000, and lost 200 , it would hurt my feelings more than when I have 1m and lost 100k. -20% vs -10%.
If I had 1000, 200 loss is huge. ).
That being said, I only go by % now

Personally, I have so many Money market account that i don't even know exactly how much I have. Too many special offers from discount brokerages that I transfer funds (open new acct) to get all the perks.

Between wife and I , I think we got 4money market, 2 IRA (roll over), 1 ROTH, and she has 401(k) now at her workplace. eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.
Of course 401(k) is so new that it has very little $ in it.

I am about to close 2mm acct, and open it with different company which has local brokerage support. Thinking fidelity or schwab.

Schwab has some good perks. The FA's are good with their people too.

Thanks!
I am so tired of rolling over 401K into IRA off of the phone. It is about 1.5hr task. If FA can do that as a support role, I would definitely be interested.

I've heard about schwab from one of the investment club lady I know. Even branch mgrs will call few active trader/investor and have lunch. Nice way to have clients keep on trading for commission. I will prob go to youtube and see if they have good platform relative to others.
thanks again.

I hit my ultimate cut loss I set for myself and I stuck with it. At least my broker is happy with all the commission he's making lol.

It took a 3 hour drive to get my memory cleared. I decided that the next time I plan to invest/gamble in the market again, I'm gonna go pick up a GT3 RS. At least I'll enjoy any depreciation it brings, if it ever depreciates.

Any loss is bad for me.

I don't like losses, sport. Nothing ruins my day more than losses. Now you do good, you get perks, lots and lots of perks.

Must be AMD again

I sold all my shares. I'm only holding some AMDA and unfortunately MCP... No point in letting MCP go after that last episode... Might as well hold it and hope for the best.

So far, this has been one of my worst trade ever.
My "THE worst drop" stock which was meant to be a trade came out to be the BEST investment ever by holding the bag. YEs, it beat the mightly Apple between late2008-early2013 while we held it.

the markets can go down longer than you can stay liquid. Common problem, don't feel bad. Buy buy buy, but pick the when, what, and where.

After you told me, I just went to yahoo finance. It is not looking pretty at all.

This reminds me of 2008 (except the oil being opposite, and Greece).

1. Retail plunged first
2. CHinese market down the drain

Of course, this time is it not stupid derivatives and subprime MBS.
People said market is not overpriced. Well, it seems like companies are still speculating that they can retain the earnings like consumers are on a Overdrive. We shall see if top/bottom will still sustain the high rev/profit momentum to maintain the EPS. Acceleration is most likely gone.

Don't know how you do it Prena. This fucking game has been giving me heart attacks since 2007. I could never make a solid buck investing.

Beside 1 stock I am holding biggest bag of elephant sh1t, I got out. Currently waiting for oil to fall further, and go in.

I just can't invest in stock at this time. Yes, macro guys stated that we now have much higher money supply relative to 2000-2001, 2006-2008, and have more room.
Some people also said there are good quantity of people still waiting on a sideline to get in.

I am not going to take a risk like 2008. rake hike or sign of that might be the day we wake up angry bear from hibernation.
Luckly my biggest sh1tbag from 2008 came out to be The best investment ever later (better run than AAPL late2008-2012), but I had to eat ramen, salad, and mcdonald cheeseburgers for years.

I am just going to position trade oil when it dips more , then start buying PUT when there is a clear momentum of downward spiral.

Of course, it is easier to be said than done.

This week must set a new record high for suicide rates in China as locals commit suicide due to stocks tanking like there is no bottom dropping to a point where trading is just halted. -1500 Points on Hong Kong Exchange today. Been a long while since we saw -1500 loss in one session in Hong Kong. I would not walk by any high rises in Hong Kong this week. Will not be bird crap falling down this week.
