Michelin Pilot Super Sport?
I'm looking to replace my set of tires, after 13000 miles they're as flat as the screen on my macbook (aka useless). After looking around I saw these Pilot Super Sports on TireRack...
Anyone have any experience with these tires? How do they compare to the PS2 or Contis that came with my car? Everything I read puts them ahead of those tires. Also can I go wider on the rear with my ZCP setup? Thanks, JG

PSS's are superb...
I'm currently running 255/35 and 275/35 on ZCP with no issues.

I bought a set of ZCP OEM size yesterday (rears backordered to 12/10).
The BMW CCA guys that have PSS's say great things about them.

Why go with the OEM sizes? You get more bang for the buck by going slightly wider. The ZCP rim widths can more than handle it.

They figured out cheaper ways to mfg & produce the tire. You win!!! Still superior to the PS2 in every way.

255/35/19 275/35/19
you can also do a 245/35/19 in the F too If you track, get AD08 otherwise, as a DD car, the PSS are great from what I've heard

I went from Conti's to the PSS's. I was cool with the Conti's but am really impressed with the PSS's. I prefer the OEM size, feels better to me than the popular 255/275 upsize.

Yep 275 out back. Must be angle. I had the OEM 265 Pirellis as well and I can easily say that they are much wider and squarer.

I am running square setup OEM 18x9.5 with PSS 265 and 275/35-18. Previously, I was running Nitto NT05 of the same size as PSS. While NT05 has very good dry grip and pretty predictable throughout, I think my PSS surpassed that. Granted that I only have a bit over 2000 miles on the tire, I can only say that my initial impressions are quite please with these tires and my current setup.
Go for it. You won't regret. |

the PSS are fantastic. put them on my Porsche and i like them even better than the OEM Pirelli Corsas.
there's a theory that the PSS are cheap now as sort of an "introductory pricing" deal. i have no idea whether that's true or not, but i used it to justify picking them up from Tire Rack ASAP |
