Help!!!! Rock Chips

Hello, I recently purchased my car and noticed a few spots on the hood that look as though they were once fresh rock chips that were attempted to be covered up. The touch up paint or something clearly stands out here. Any advice on what to do? Thanks.

Wow that looks pretty terrible.
You can try to buff it out with a buffer or elbow grease.
I've had good luck with this paint applicator below. Try reapplying after with this.

I will second the results I had with dr color chip. Put in you vin to get the color, I did it on my jet black e46 M and was blown away by the results. You can even smear it if you have lots of small ones such as your fender where my issue was. Dab it on bigger chips, smear it on areas of lots of small ones. Use the solution that’s provided and wipe off. It was worth the money by far. I will be using it again if I need it on my E92 but thankfully not a single rock chip. Knock on wood.

Same thing happened to me last week and posted about it. For myself, I think Dr. Color Chip is the best solution if it's isolated to a few marks.. not trying to spend a tremendous amount and it claims to use the same paint, so hopefully will be good enough for the purpose.

Wow, does that Dr color actually work that good? And if smeared out, still keeping the exact same colour and shine? Seems magic as even re paint hardly dont. Worth to investigate further!

Use Dr. Color chip instead of OEM paint that matches, I've heard mixed results, I just don't want it to look like what has already been done. Also will it fill in like a layer or will I have a divot? And what about clear coat or is it not necessary? Thanks!

It has a built in shine. I used it on Jet Black which is a tricky one because if shine and had great results. You wont be disappointed with the product I assure you. I will be ordering it soon for my alpine white just as a backup.

Take it to a professional! Unless you or someone you know has taken on something like this before, it may be worth doing it right or it could end up looking worse.
