Stew's Garage: They're great!

Hey everyone,

Hopefully this is allowed. I moved to WA almost a year ago and haven't had to do any car work yet. I needed to change spark plugs, oil, and pre-cat O2 sensors, but didn't have a place to do the work since I live in an apartment.

Found out about Stew's Garage in Kirkland and wanted to briefly share my experience. I ended up renting out a lift for 4.25 hours and paid $140 ($10 off first time, prorated, and rate mixed between lift and no-lift pricing).

They can't physically help you with the work, but they offer a lot of advice if you ask. They have most of the tools you'd need available. I brought a special spark plug socket and spark plug puller, but everything else was covered.

I'd be down to help you out also if you need an extra hand!

I'm not affiliated with them nor am getting any referral bonuses for writing this. Just thought I'd share this information to others who live in apartments/condos and can't work on your own car due to space/tools.

Yea I do all of my lift necessitated work there since I'm too lazy for the jack stand life...even oil changes. It's pretty sweet.

I was going to try them at some point, maybe for the next oil or brake fluid change. Have heard many good things about them.

I just went back there to do an oil change on my Corolla. $15 for 30 minutes on their 4 post lift. Super easy. I wish they had something like this back in CA--would've saved so much neck ache trying to work with jacks.
