question regarding certified pre owned warranty coverage
hey all -
I did some looking with the search feature and found a fair amount of info about what the warranty covers and how much it costs but didnt find specifically what I was looking for. Basically i bought my car in 2010 as a CPO model with only a couple thousand miles on it. I have CPO warranty until 5/2015 and my question is once I am outside of the factory warranty and into the CPO warranty do I just simply still show up to the BMW dealership and expect to receive a loaner car? is the only difference that I have to pay the $50 deductible? also - I assume that the standard CPO warranty will no longer cover the replacement of general maintenance items such as brake pads, oil change, etc - would this be correct? (sorry, this info is 100% available in the search area but figured i would add it in as well...)

CPO warranty IS NOT bumper to bumper. Loaner cars are never automatic, dealer/relationship dependent.
There is an extended maintenance that would cover the things you listed like brakes, wipers.

Like Car54 said, Maintenance is a separate policy you have to buy.
Most dealer will NOT give a loaner for a CPO car. What's typically covered is powertrain (not sure about the tranny), and electronics. The folding mirrors failed on my old X5 and it was covered. .

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I have had 2 CPO cars and the only difference was the $50 copay. I never had a CPO item ever not replaced under warranty and I received a loaner every time I go to my dealer

Doesn't cover radio or dead pixels. I used to not get a BMW loaner, but an enterprise rental....it seemed to be dependent on your relationship and the dealer. They usually provided something for me.
