Vorshlag Camber Plates for M3

Vorshlag camber/caster plates are designed to be compatible OE or Sport style springs and all strut types. Vorshlag make numerous variations of this plate and accompanying perches to work with your set-up and we have most of the popular ones in stock. The Vorshlag upper perches allow us to add a sealed radial bearing that isolates the spherical bearing in the camber plate from radial turning loads of of the strut shaft during steering inputs. This is part of why our plates last the lifetime of the car!

*Compatible OE, Sport springs or KW V series coilovers.
*Installs with basic hand tools, no chassis modifications required.
*Plates are designed specifically for BMW E82 1M and E9x M3(EDC and Non-EDC)
*Caster & Camber are independently adjustable.
*Camber is easily adjustable at the track from the engine compartment with simple (metric) hand tools. No need to reach inside the wheel well with a wrench to tighten.
*The spherical bearing used in the Vorshlag camber plate is the largest used in any BMW camber plate on the market. The result is much better durability and wear characteristics than the undersized bearings used in our competitors' plates.
*Designed for maximum suspension travel (bump travel). More than an inch more strut travel than some of our competitors' designs.
*Alloy steel bearing holder - Tough as a German Tank!
*Aluminum alloy main plate for lighter weight, engraved and fully anodized
*All components plated or anodized for maximum corrosion resistance and long life.
*Maximum negative camber setting depends on caster setting, ride height, and is ultimately limited by the strut tower opening on these chassis. The E82/90/92 strut tower hole is more restrictive than previous generation BMWs. *Expect to get -2° to -3.5° max camber, depending on ride height.

We have fitment information for the OEM non-EDC and the KW V3 struts. We're still looking for an EDC car to measure the strut profile.

EDC and Non-EDC have the exact strut profile and dimensions. Top is EDC and bottom is non-EDC, no difference!

Order away guys!

I thought the EDC shaft was thicker? (that's what she said)

Or is that just for the rear? (that's what she said)

The shaft is plenty thick(she said it!) for strength and to accommodate EDC, it's 14mm towards the top and 16mm at the bottom.

TCKR camber plates were installed many times in the past so I didn't think the shaft diameter is any different. I borrowed a strut from a local customer just to verify.

Just want to make sure I understand this correctly...

So the thicker shaft that you are describing above is below the area slides into the hole (that's what she said) in the camber plate? So the top of the shaft which gets inserted into the bearing in the camber plate for both the EDC and non-EDC struts are the same size. Thus, the same camber plate works for both EDC and non-EDC.

Correct?

They are exactly the same as shown in the photo above.

We have installed many TCK Racing camber plates on EDC and non-EDC cars with coilover/sleeve-over conversions without any issues. That already made it clear there is no difference.

You teasing me? Nope, still have the GC ones in. I do want these Vorshlag plates and will get them eventually.

Mounting doesn't take long...2-3 hours if you've done a spring install. Not hard.

Harold, thanks for the info on using plates with EDC setup. The earliest I could get in to have them installed is next Thursday. Driver's Source will be doing the install. I will post pics and impressions of my EDC setup. My next track day is on the 20th. I will post impressions and vid after that as well.
