I have the WMA3000B and it does not display track information at all when using Spotify. It also seems to lose connection to the phone randomly. I unplug and replug it from the USB cable and it comes back on. Anyone else experience this?

Do you have at least one song downloaded to the local iTunes library on your phone?

I am seeing the same thing right now. I think the IOS 9 caused this problem. It was working fine for me with IOS 8

I think we have to wait for a firmware update from WMA.

I'm on iOS 9.1 and everything still works for me.

No, is that what is causing the issue?

I had that U2 album that everybody got for free on my phone and decided to delete it a few days ago in effort to free up some space. Well that was a bad idea because as soon as I did that, I lost track info in Spotify, Pandora, and my Podcasts. Took me like 3 days to figure out why it stopped working all of the sudden when I haven't updated or changed anything on my phone. Everything worked fine when I connected my girlfriend's iPhone so I figured it couldn't be an issue with the Bluetooth device itself. I don't own any music through iTunes and apparently you can't re download the U2 album after deleting it so I had to go and purchase a 69c song just to get everything to work again. Lesson learned. If anyone has trouble seeing track info and skipping songs, keep this in mind.

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I was going to order the 3000 today and wanted to confirm if others can use steering wheel controls on the latest iOS. I've been putting it off for quite awhile and wanted to regain my steering wheel controls (currently still using the 1000 model).

Can anyone confirm that the new(er) 3000B does work with:

1) the new iOS
2) CCC (if that matters)
3) functions with steering wheel controls

TIA & sorry for bumping this ole' thing

I love how people get told to when they post new threads, but then feel the need to apologize for bumping an "old" thread. The last comment was like a week ago, you're hardly bumping anything up from the dead and there's really no need to apologize.

Both my 1000 and 3000 work just fine on iOS9. My car has CIC, but I would imagine CCC would work the same. As long as you have at least one song in the local iTunes library on your phone, steering wheel controls should work.

If you are having issues with the 1000 + the OEM adapter cable, the 3000 will not change anything. It functions exactly the same.

I'm not sure what's changed other than the iOS versions. Previously everything worked well on the 1000, but over time (as iOS updated) I lost steering wheel functionality. I've always streamed music from Spotify, never from my personal library (as it's always been empty, including the forced U2 album).

I'll try syncing one album onto my phone and see if that works, otherwise I'll purchase the 3000. If that fails, return the 3000 and continue to use my old one..

Not sure what else I can do!

Will the steering wheel controls work with an Android phone and WMA3000B?

UPDATE: I unplugged the tune2air, forgot the device on my iPhone, set everything back up, and voila! All is right again

Yup, it works. I'm using an older HTC One M7, streaming thru Google Music and it works fine.

Just to confirm, when it s all plugged in and synced. Do you select aux or USB input on the idrive? And is the USB cable just to supply power to the dongle or is that what transmits the song name and info to the screen?

Wow just realized how old this thread is

Select USB. The USB cable both supplies power and transmits media info.

I doubt it. Aux does not pass media info as far as I know.

Makes sense. It was confusing me cos I thought if the audio is running through the aux and you select USB them you wouldn't hear the audio unless you choose aux, but I guess when you select USB the i drive knows to get track info from the USB and audio from the aux.

Hope I m making sense and you get what I mean lol.
Thanks for the reply

Do you notice any lack of bass, compared to regular aux?

It has way better quality compared to a regular AUX cable.. the bass retains a lot more with Tune2Air IMO.. and also never cuts off or has that feedback sound, like a reg. aux cable.. It also remembers the bluetooth connection every time so you don't have to connect every damn day.
