OWNED. The comment about Vorsteiner offfering a "fair" price is laughable. They are charging the highest price they can get - they aren't "price takers" since the E9X Carbon Fiber Front Lip Market is far from Perfectly Competitive. Furthermore, a replica product is not necessarily inferior. If the replica company can replicate the product at a lower price (through cheaper labor usually - they just get a cheaper bundle of L,K) then they have deservedly earned some business.

Instead of whining and making vague prognostications, Vorsteiner should focus on making new products (CF hoods, E90 CF trunks, CF mirrors) that loyal customers will buy. If they do such a good job and their price is truly "fair" people will realize it and buy their products over cheaper imitators. But if the cheaper products are just as good, then they need to find a new line of business.

The price does not sound too bad when i shopped around for my front lip 2 mos ago and compared to AC Schnizter which costs $3869 and the 3D Design from Japan lists for $2268.

VORSTEINER is a great Vendor and a great company. They brought us the GTR hood and made it affordable with DVWP option. Same thing with the OEM Rep VCSL bumper and Diffusors and Bootlids. I always asked myself why VORSTEINER and it is only after i started dealing with them i realised why.

When i received my boot and bumper and diffusor the people in BMW here were confused and shocked at the quality of their products! I was like are you sure? THEY were like WOW its OEM QUALITY! That is when i never doubted buying from them and have ever since done great business with them.

All my VORST customers are happy and do not even look at other products especially replicas. I am the rep for Hamaan & AC in Bahrain for a long time and even though their products are the same high quality the customers seem to opt for VORSTEINER 99% of the time! Im not kidding that is TRUE! Also the price is MUCH cheaper than the others especially the japanese manufacturers.

Whenever they see my car and ask who the products are from i say VORST and they dont believe me! They say they are OEM! Im like LOL NO they are VORST. The customer is never wrong. I have exported VORST to AUSTRALIA and other parts of the world like KSA and they ALL say the same thing.

So please guys stop giving them shit, they are doing a great job for a fair price. Hell if they werent i would be the first person to go to someone else but i seem to keep buying from them every month! Great great quality and never had any issues with fitment at all! Always 100% fitment

VORSTEINER, Good Luck with all your future products and look forward to getting more orders from me! i cant get enough of that carbon.

Forgive me for all the teasers pics...no complete pics until the weather gets better

Trying to compare the 1 x 1 weave with the carbon roof....

Getting a closer look....it matches!!! Hooray...wow..

a bit of silicone squirt to make sure the edges and contours are sealed in..with 5 tapering screws instead of 3M since this is going to generate downforce as well as for show...

Near to perfect fitting..

Closer look at fitting...nice fit...almost perfect..

Speaking from personal experience having owned both a Vorsteiner lip and a REPLICA strass. lip for my e46 sedan, I can argue that the Vorsteiner's lip is far more superior in terms of build quality and materials used. The entire Vorst. lip is constructed as a "1pc" unit w/ the CF is integrated into a heavy fiberglass reinforced backing whereas the replica strass lip had a thin piece of CF laid on top of the flberglass lip where, eventually the "cf lip" started to pull away from the actual fiberglass body

Vorsteiner's quality is top notch and the fitment is guaranteed. Compared with pricing of Hamann, ACS or even Japanese companies producing dry vacuumed CF parts, I think the pricing for their products is very reasonable.

seriously if a replica can offer good fitment, thats all that matters. i'd go for the rep in an instant if fitment is ok. i went for m6 rep wheels and they were durable and worked great...its only a matter of time before people start making rep lips and diffusers that can fit as well as the originals...who knows some vendors might end up selling some of these products just like how they sold me my miro m6 reps....its just a matter of time.

That carbon lip looks very very nice Jerome

Look forward to seeing it in a couple of weeks when we do our audio upgrades.

PS: Need to confirm the date for that as it goes...

That's way too expensive for a replica. MAX 500, more like 400 would sound reasonable.
