Painting the Black Bits

I'm going to get the ol' girl wrapped this spring and want to refresh the black bits (side markers, hood vents, grille). Instead of purchasing new ones, I am exploring the option of removing each and painting them. I tried searching and perhaps my search terms were terrible; I found thread for removing and installing so I'm still unsure on the right paint to use for the parts (and if they'll look amateurish).

Have fun, but have a plan to buy new ones if it doesn't work out the way you planned.
