Just uploaded my stage 1 tune, even on crappy CA 91 gas it definitely feels smoother off idle, can't say I can determine what +20hp feels like but it definitely feels better.

Did anyone else experience wipers running during the "program ECU" phase? very disconcerting when doing this without a battery tender connected.

I’ve had a Cobb tune before, and without being hooked up to a battery tender, I’d do random things like wipers while flashing.

Question Alex or maybe for anyone that had the rev limit increase, should I see this reflected in the redline or is it simply moving the rev limit?

No, the line is a limit of the gauge face. But the limit increases

Just follow the original instructions...

a) Make 100% you do not get disconnected/interrupted while loading a program.

b) Key on is push start button until gas gauge registers.

c) After the load, key off (as per screen instructions) and then run diagnostics, with clear codes and clear adaptations...then key on start car...5 seconds...key off...start car...5 seconds...off...done.

thank you.. but isn't it much shorter process to reflash? I don't do the initial backup, right? and the file is select is instead not the tune, and the other file, "flash first" right?

If you are trying to go to stock, then 'flash first' is the right file to choose...otherwise, choose the other file that you want.

You can do the initial backup if you like to save the exact version that is on the vehicle for some reason, but you can skip it as flash first is a original updated file. You can use flash first to go back to stock also.

just got my E85 map from Alex. anyone experience any start issues with it? Don't want to be stuck at the petrol station with a full tank of E85

note: I have a rough start already on non-E85 stage 2 tune where the revs goes up and down for a couple of seconds before settling down.

the starter has to turn over a couple more times for me on e85 as well. I am guessing that is normal. my idle was rough a couple times after it had warmed up but currently smooth as silk.

Yesterday I was with Alex installing the GTS software on my M3 dkg, and as always I can only say that his patience is endless and his work incredible.

Like his engine maps, I can only say that the car is now a beast and very happy with it. Good professional and better person! Thank you very much Alex, to continue like this!

With E85 your car has to be in tip top condition. You can ask HolyChitMeng he can tell you that he had some problems also. He fixed one or two things and a couple maintenance items, no issues starting up now even in cold weather.

Is that each time it's on E85 or very first time it's switched over to E85 fuel?

I noticed a very slight delay, like as in 2 additional cranks at most when cold...otherwise once started/warm no issues at all.

same thing i experience. If its been sitting for a few ours it takes about 2 more cranks to start. If i start it after its been warmed up, normal amount of cranks. runs excellent.
