So I have an E93 328i that has treated me incredibly well since I graduated college in 2012. I love the car. But ever since the E92 M3 was released i have been dying to get one. I'm still not quite financially there. I have a couple years left in medical training before I am a fully licensed family doc. But I got myself an early birthday gift a couple days ago that is basically the next best thing.
This is a Kyosho E92 M3 in Melbourne Red. Pretty much exactly how I would have ordered one. And my dream is to put on some 18" TE37's, simple front lip, drop and eisenmann exhaust. I was able to source nearly all the mods on eBay. Wanted to thank leemik for the insipiration (search modded Kyosho M3 and you will find his modded lime rock GTS) I had to rig up a little glass/picture frame stand because the tire rubber was somehow melting onto my wooden nightstand. I wanted to try to lower the car some but am too worried about possibly breaking something if I go tinkering too much. And honestly in person it looks fine. The gap is a little exaggerated in pics. Here is the M3! And a recent pic of my daily 3 series. |

I got it off eBay. Just search kyosho diecast E92 M3. There are random sellers with white, blue, red, and black models. There are also GTS versions floating around too. They are about 115-130$ depending on shipping (which took like 3 weeks lol) I looked forever to find a red one. Then suddenly a few weeks ago a bunch popped up on eBay. Good luck with surgery! I loved it in med school but knew I couldn't handle the schedule. Much respect! |

Nice work! Where did you get the lip/wheels? I have the GT Spirit model which is very nicely done too, with ZCP wheels/splitters/diffuser. I wouldn't mind changing it up lol.
You'll have the real deal in no time once you're an attending

The front splitter is the model that comes on the GTS kyosho model. I also found that on eBay. It took a little bit of trimming some tabs to get flush. And I glued it to the corners of the front bumper after I centered it in the middle with double sided tape. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-18-Kyosho...UAAOSwB-1YvSRE I had to use a fingernail clipper to snip off those little tabs, and sanded them flush. |
