The numbers are too low to conclude anything, I'm surprised at the low votes. But I'll assume most people who didn't vote are not active. And since the majority are not active, BMW will most likely not bother keeping the app fully compatible with the E9x platform..

I don't even know what BMW Assist is/does. I have it on the other two cars too, and have never bothered to look at it or read up on it. I guess I don't need it.

The 2G service that enabled BMW Assist to all of the E series cars was canceled by AT&T back in 2016. If you were a BMW Assist subscriber you either got a 4G combox retrofit or a gift card. Unless you have a 4G combox, NBT Next + TCB or NBT Evo + ATM retrofit you will not have BMW Assist or any connected drive services.
