You could, but you still need to put holes in the fender liner. Removing to drill introduces the possibility of inaccurately drilled holes that may not line up.

Since you understand the end result, how you get there doesn't really matter. Do whatever is easiest for you in your environment. Our instructions were written considering both ease and accuracy. But, as they say- there's more than one way to skin a cat.

I have had mine on since summer 2017 and it's still completely flawless! It's really a relief having what now feels like a permanent structural part of the underbody instead of a constant $350+ liability waiting to shred itself to bits at a moment's notice. Buy with confidence

Finally decider to pull the trigger and bought the underbelly shield super glad i did. Fitment was absolutely perfect. I love the way it was designed to drill openings for the screws to get it aligned to the millimeter.

Here are some before and after pics.

To all: The powder coater took longer than promised. We had some 40 backorders to fill. Orders have been going out in order of receipt. Tracking is uploaded to Paypal and buyers will receive an automated email from Paypal with order updates as they occur. The rest of the orders will be going out today and tomorrow.

If anyone has any further questions about their order please message me directly so I can better correlate screen name & message history to each order.

We've already sent our next batch to CNC. This time we are making twice as many trays as our previous lot which should help reduce supply issues.

Are all of the current pieces spoken for, or do you have any in the current batch that are ready to sell/go out? Thank you!

I have two more from this batch. Then it will likely be a few weeks until the next batch is back from coating.

Not to Highjack this thread, but does anyone know the part numbers (or similar screws) for the 3 screws towards the rear ?

Installed mine this past weekend, I had trouble with the heads popping off the supplied 8 mm fasteners when trying to self tap into the al pieces, happened 7 times, not sure if bad batch of fasteners or me. None of the oem screws I had left failed, just the new ones. It was a pain to drill out the broken fasteners but I eventually used an upsized 5/32 bit (vs 9/64) and it made the tapping process a little easier, still plenty of thread engagement.

I chose not to reinstall the braided cable thingies (both sides/cables were damaged anyway) and instead just added a couple more holes and screws to secure the main plate to the bumper.

Overall I would recommend this product and purchase again. Well made, good fit and finish and good packaging when shipped. I did call them during the install for my fastener problem and the person that answered was very professional, friendly and helpful. So A+ on customer service.

Interested but want to plan around brake cooling. I was originally planning to do this:

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showpo...5&postcount=41

But will now have to use NACA ducts with the Mporium flat undertray (pic attached), from: https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...p?Product=3627

Just not sure if there is enough room. @deansbimmer - can you confirm/suggest alternative?

This is the most streamlined solution to brake ducts that we can suggest. It requires cutting some of the bumper and fabricating the brake duct. We're not producing those yet, this picture is of a prototype.
