I added some alcantara coby wheel parts over the weekend...

Overall very pleased with the parts! I did the wheel, shifter, shifter boot, ebrake handle, and ebrake boot. everything was a quick turnaround and adds a little flair that I felt my all black interior was missing (and the price was definitely right). I just ordered similar parts for my e46, and will do the same with the e36 also.

Very nice. Is that the thick or extra thick option for the steering wheel?

honestly the process wasn't bad at all and great communication and pictures once the parts were made. he sent me the pics of the finished parts and I paid the core deposit then, and things were shipped....easy stuff. on my e46 parts, I ordered them on 1/6 and they have already shipped out!

I want to send my wheel out to them to get wrapped and he said it would take about a week. My car will be a sitting duck I guess. How is the cleaning process of the new wheel.

I don't daily drive the car so I have no need to clean it yet, but it shouldn't be any different than any other alcantara products. on my f80 that I dd, I just wipe down with microfiber here and there, and have alcantara cleaner for the real detail times.

Are you happy with the extra thickness after driving it for a while?

I sent my wheel to be wrapped and should be expecting it back by next week But in regards to taking care of it, has anyone checked out the Chemical Guys fabric guard? Seems like a ceramic pro repellent for alcantara!

Is it easy to connect the shift boot with shift knob? I am planning to buy ZHP knob and connect it with coby boot.

Not too bad..you have to reuse the base ring for the boot but it's pretty easy..I think he has diy's also if needed

Has anyone done a DCT shifter?

Also, how did you get the e-brake handle off?? I pulled and pulled on that thing, and it doesn't come off!!

They are just some off-brand mats i found on amazon to change things up a bit...quality isn't too bad really. They had a cheesy m power logo on them that I was able to take off..little cleaner without that

If you send him your shift boot he will mount the new boot onto your old ring for no extra charge. Much better than me doing it lol.
