Running MSRH CCW today with the Driver's Edge
I wasn't so sure about MSRH but it is pretty fun! We ran CCW which is very fun. Turn 17 with the wall at the end isn't so bad. There's plenty of room to setup the turn...just can't be really careless. I would think that CW would be a little riskier with the curbs and the wall at Turn 1 and you're coming out of carousel pretty fast.
Passed a ZR1 and an F430 today in my lowly 330ci which adds up to about $350,000 in hardware...woohoo! Quite a few E9X M3s here. ShadeD1 is here...the guy who stole "111" from me! haha... I'll post some videos as soon as I trim them a bit.

Nope. You have to certify at each track. I'm blue solo at MSR Cresson. I did one solo run today in blue so there is hope.

Sounds fun, wish I would have gotten in - I still think that MSRH CCW is screwy but maybe I'll try it at some point. No turn that exits next to a wall is great but going CW is very manageable because you're already at speed and on power, it's just a flick.
Are you going to TWS next weekend? If so what group? I'll put it like my 2yo son says, "Let's chase!"

Thanks!
Overall, great weekend! Honestly, I had my doubts since the track looked so flat. It was a blast and look forward to coming back. Only bad part is its about 4-4.5 hours away. The passing kind of sucked due to 2 370Z's...one got better. The other Z had some old dude in there that you'd follow through 2 passing zones, give a point by and then drag race you. I have to downshift to beat the guy to the next corner. I would almost coast from the Bus Stop to the Launch because he was sooooo slow. I even lapped him. My last even at MSRC in Dec was a treacherous weekend in the rain. I really felt like that was a tremendous learning event although not the most fun. There were only 2 cars that consistently passed me...a GTR and a Lambo LP550-2. Otherwise, I was running people down into Diamond's Edge, through the sweeper into the Bus Stop and then from 15 to 16. You can say that a BBK doesn't shorten stopping distances...but I could consistently brake much later. Stoptech FTW! The one thing I did work on was braking. I did a better job of developing a reference point on where to end my braking rather than start. It helped tremendously in smooting out my brake release. I'm sure the E9X M3 is similar...even when I came in a little too hot, I could get the car rotated since I didn't abruptly unload the front of the car. Enough talk...here's a video of the last run...

I was there. Drivers Edge put on a great event. I was suprised how capable a stock M3 was around the track compared to other cars out there. My first upgrade(s) will be to the brakes.

Yeah, I saw you on the grid the second day. I had the blue 330 and my car was idling like crazy.

His only error was he parked in the middle of nowhere so he couldn't really showcase his "off-track skills". The Lambo could only muster one and she looked pretty bored. He was so lame... Hold your horses...its coming. I've got to find some suitable music...takes time.

kinda off topic, but I was just looking at ClubRegistration and somehow I've been promoted to blue for next weeks PDS. I think the demo video I sent them made an impression.

Honestly, IMO all of the BMW drivers in the Nov event were ready for blue. I think they didn't have enough instructors to bump people up from Green.
