Price check - 2011 e93 M3
Looking at a local Northern California car tomorrow, privately owned by what appears to be a bit of a collector. E93 M3 with all options, 19" rims, Silverstone on black and only 13k miles (!) From all appearances it looks to be in new condition but will know more tomorrow.
Asking price is $30k which seems fair considering the extremely low miles, thoughts? What are some wear items to look for when the car has been used so sparingly? |

Thanks yes tires are original and I'm already budgeting for a new set.
Even though the car has such low miles I'm going to ask for a PPI to assess any issues just from it having sat for much of the time. Must be a pretty good garage when the guy is too busy driving other cars instead of this one! |

Thanks, that's good to hear. Did you get a PPI and/or add an extended warranty? Any issues (like oil seepage due to dried up seals etc.) that you had to deal with? I don't want to waste money unnecessarily on inspections/warranties, hence why I'm looking for a low mileage model, but also don't want to assume it's totally cherry just because it's been sitting.

I'm torn cause I also tested one with only 13k miles and it looks brand new in every respect, but he wants 30 and it's not a 6 speed. |

Headlight condensation on the passenger side seems to be very common. There are many threads regarding that issue. I also had that issue with my passenger side headlight, and the car only had 40k miles at the time. just needs to be removed and re-sealed.

Congrats! I've decided to keep my 328 and most likely getting a low mileage and very well maintained e46 with some Competition/CSL upgrades for convertible fun without being my daily driver. Looking at it tomorrow. :-)

A used car is never perfect, but I felt it was the perfect opportunity to upgrade to a proper driving machine, all the while keeping my convertible and getting a manual, definitely looking to take it in somewhere... do you guys know of any bmw specialists to recommend in the bay? preferably in the south bay.
