So the Coles Notes of this thread is:
1) Engine design affects exhaust sound
2) OP is an ignorant douche.

I loved the way my STI sounded. It was nothing at all like typical 4 cylinders. Now the evo sounds wimpy IMO, but its still got the balls.

+1 on the video and the human exhaust machine..

Different strokes for different folks - I love seeing subies and evo's on the road and other fellow modders. I don't think I'm better, just different. With those differences in needs expressed through our cars.

Now if I see a Kia Rondo with a 6" ebay exhaust fart-can out the back - well yea, then I'm kinda laughing.

I loved it, but got out of it and wanted something a bit more grown up this time. Still love Subies to death and will probably own another one at some point, but after owning 5 in a row, I needed a change....

If they bring back the STi sedan, put some more power in it and change the damn bench seats, I might be down again.

The boxer tone is due to the unequal length headers.

Replace that with equal length headers and it sounds like a normal 4 banger.

Here's my Evo fart can. Enjoy
