If it were me and I was looking for a dual duty tire, I'd try the RE11s or the NT05s if you have to use a 275/35R18.
If I had lots of money to waste, I wouldn't hesitate to run Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. As long there's tread...it should be OK in the rain with some caution. You can run those tires when they have no tread left but then you're kind of in a bind if it rains on the street. The cups cost more but, from what I've seen, they do last longer than other tires in its category. Oh, if it tends to downpour when it rains, the sport cups will be useless. They probably won't do very will in puddling water. Probably 4-5...these tires came with some wheels I bought. I tried burning them off on the track and it was...interesting. In the rain my conti scrubs were better.

Cool Shirt system: with a dedicated track/race car it is a necessity if over 80 degrees. The ice water cooler can be mounted anywhere within reach of the drivers seat. But I don't know how you would mount in a street car with carpet and retain OEM look.

That's the biggest issue is where to put the cool shirt system. I've seen it in street cars at the track...basically the passenger seat is taken out and the cool shirt system goes there. When the owner gets the car home, he takes out the system and puts the seat back. For me, too much of a pain in the behind....I'll just skip the 100+ degree summers day at the track and go cool shirtless.
