DCT Trans Module "Valve Sticking"
Just wanted to pass on a report from my 1200 service regarding the DCT stall. I went in for the service and told SA that I've experienced a stall / power loss while driving the car in auto / D mode. The Tech could not duplicate the problem but check the faults. This is what he reported:
"Test drove could not duplicate. When checking faults found fault in trans module 5A5B valve sticking. Occurred 8 times. Attempted to run test plan, plan did instructed you to work thru other faults. No other applicable faults stored. Submited PUMA. Received reply from PUMA. PUMA stated to perform valve characteristics, retought valve characteristics via Dis+ cleared fault memory." Again, just sharing this because I believe it resolved the stalling issue. I'm not an expert so perhaps it was the valve sticking or something else. All I know is I put about 100 miles on the car since the service yesterday and the lag and/or stalling issue is gone. Last edited by Roadkiller; 01-11-2009 at 07:11 PM.. |

I have gotten this stall about 3 times. It's weird when it happens it's like ... "hey dude ... go wtf", but I'm always afraid to mash the gas in case the car lurches or I ruin something when it kicks back in at a high rpm.
I need to take my car in for the DCT sw update so I'll mention this also.
