Dash illumination

I just acquired 09 e92 M3 from a forum member.

I was excited to see that the dash is white with red needle but
It looks a little dim.

I adjusted the brightness all the way up.

Is this normal?
If it's normal, what can I do to it so that the needle is more bright and the white number area
Is brighter?

Yes it's not as bright as some modern cars like Audi/VW. Totally normal. It's by design, so as not to screw with your night vision. Doesn't look as pretty tho.

It's never supposed to be that bright at night anyways. It shouldn't be illuminating your face, you should be focused more on the road than your tacho/dash.

i like my red needle a little brighter.

the dash on this video is good representation on how mine looks like.
in fact mine looks a tiny bit darker than this video.

I just like my red needle a little brighter just like my watch's second needle.

Agreed, I generally run low on fuel as well. I think the Costco savings on gas pays for the entire membership

The BMW S65's natural habitat = the gas station

No seriously when I first purchased my M3 in November 2013 - I was going from a Lexus IS300 that just 'sipped' gas and would fill up every 2 1/2 weeks. Then driving a very, very thirsty 4.o liter V8 I was filling up every 6 days

But totally worth it !!!

Yup - M3 loves to drink the go juice. Thankfully I bike to work or I would need a second job to pay for my fuel...
