Wow, that's quite a different car than the M2, but very cool. M2 is much more useable with a warranty. What more or less is a deciding factor for me is the mass ED, plus buying a custom new car is a dream of mine

I've always wanted an M400. Only 200 made it stateside, so it's super rare, it doesn't have a lot of electronic nannies so warranty isn't that big of a deal to me, it drives like a super car, it makes gobs of power, and tips the scales @ 2400lbs. I have some interesting plans for it should I go that route

So I know that I am late to this topic, but I thought I would chime in. I am keeping my 2011 E92..why you may ask...well I just bought it and there is NO WAY I could afford the new version.

I've wanted an E9x series M for years, but never able to get one until now. And now that I have it...it is my baby, and will be for a long time to come!!

PS...what is a P-Car? I see several people talking about them in this thread.

You guys are talking about jumping from the $60 -70k range into the $90-100k range, and moving from a daily driver which you can drive on track to a track toy that you can drive to the track.

Very different propositions IMO and if you really track a lot, a GT3 is very expensive to run. Ther are many alternatives which give you similar thrills and speeds on track for a fraction of the cost.

Unless you're swimming in money, in which case go wreck that GT3 by all means, .

All I have to say i will be keeping my E93 M3 until I am dead of old age and they bury me in it. How can you go wrong with a V8 in a M3. It will never be done again. So word to the wise keep these cars because they will become classic. My car is up for the winter but I start it every two weeks to run the oil threw the motor and get the car up to temp and i have to tell you reving that V8 with an exhaust NOTHING SOUNDS BETTER. The M4 is a great car if they had put an updated verison of the V8 in it i would be the first in line but oh well. The only car I will add later on is a GTR and modifiy the hell out of it. My E93 M3 will stay NA but will add an x-pipe no cats and software and short shifter. Wheels, exhaust, springs and two piece rotors are done. FYI if you are one of the few that own an E93 M3 with a 6-speed I believe a little over 3500 cars were made world wide. Gotta love that.

Love everything about my '11 e90 M3 - most of all the s65.
The only thing is I have some out of warranty fears relating to the bearing gremlin. It casts a bit of a hangover on the ownership experience. I know it is a 1% issue - but it IS happening and when it does a $26K repair bill would leave a serious mental mark. I accept some people simply don't care - but it has me being a bit too conservative with the car. Oddly - I drive my Honda Accord (6sp Manual) winter car much harder (red lining every day) and tend to worry a bit about the S65. Should be the opposite. Anyhow - I'll get over it. I'm doing everything (more than) an owner should do to avoid any issues with the S65.
Given this is the only thing making it 99% ant not a 100% perfect - just wish it wasn't there.

All dealer oil changes - so Castrol and now Shell. Car only has 9900 miles and has had 5 oil changes due to time not miles. Has been utterly trouble free. Live in MN so it is stored from Nov - Mid April. I am a cyclist so ride to work sometimes - further reducing miles. MPE and Euro MDM have really transformed the car I nto something special. Being an engine guy - nothing for this money comes close to an S65. Still hard to believe it is a high volume engine.
