Not to be a smart ass but some people don't know this. Tow rating has more to do with stopping than pulling. For example, you could easily tow a 5000 pound boat with a 3500 pound rating. But executing an emergency stop becomes a BIG uncontrollable problem.

Also want to point out that tow ratings are generally lower in the US than other countries for the same models. Happens all the time, no idea why. Maybe b/c American drivers generally suck?

Merican drivers do suck but it's probably an attorney fueled thing. That or US DOT.

I only see the Bronco Sport listed to build on Ford's website. What am I missing?

Thought this tent was a cool idea (not too expensive @ $379 either - I wonder what its quality is like)

It didn't say it is hard to load a dirt bike into a pickup bed. I said it is easier to load a dirt bike onto a motorcycle trailer, especially if you are loading the bike solo (that means it is harder to load a dirt bike into the bed of a pick up).

If the OP wants a New Bronco, but also wants to carry a dirt bike in it, the only viable option to haul a dirt bike with the New Bronco is with a motorcycle trailer, since no dirt bike will fit in the back of the New Bronco.

There is no need to argue this point.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Where did you find this? I scoured the Ford literature and do not see where the 'Squatch package requires the automatic trans.

One big gripe about the new Rubicon is it's automatic performance in steep uphill conditions. Should it change gears while climbing the damn thing rolls backwards

Most off-roaders use the transmission in manual mode to prevent this.

Hopefully Ford trolled Wrangler forums for complaints and addressed this issue.

This isn't exactly where I found it but a web search uncovered this article...

Bronco Sport production begins in the Fall, so build option is up on the site. Bronco production begins next year, so Ford have not put the build option on the site yet.

Well color me impressed. Former Gladiator Rubicon owner (among I can’t count how many other solid front axle Jeeps) and I’m on board. I recently bought my wife a Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4, but I could totally see myself picking up a 2 door Bronco with some steel wheels and the like. This thing looks great!

It’s worth mentioning that there was a mega buzz around the Gladiator release with a similar Launch Edition that sold out in less than 24 hours. Turns out a large percentage were allocated to dealers and not individuals. Made for great media, but there were Launch Edition Gladiators on dealer lots for months after initial release.

Roger that. Good enough. Easier to program the software for an automatic. If I get a New Bronco, I'd pass on 'Squatch anyway.

If I ever sold my travel trailer and ended up buying a class A motorhome I would totally get one of these to flat tow behind. I sorta kinda like the wrangler, but I hate the interiors, tech and how uncomfortable they are. From what I've seen of the new bronco they seem to address all this, plus I think it's sexier and I would personally prefer a ford over a fiat.

This feels different to me, I was interested in the gladiator, but I was never going to be a buyer. Nobody I knew was interested in the gladiator. I would say 80% of the people i know are interested in the bronco. Even my wife and her sister who has no interest in cars at all. A couple of my friends who have never owned a 4x4 or even an american car and seriously considering buying one. I put down a deposit.
