110% agree, I would get thos hands down

EDIT: This taken from the Auto Car magazine article:

"BMW has confirmed that you can even have the 19in Y-spoke items this concept wears"

So it looks like the 19" optional wheels will be the ones from the concept HAPPY DAY!

I thought they are up to 1200-1500 a wheel now. Now wrap those with 300 tires... :-/ Yea I going to have to pass but I have seen some really nice HREs on M3s.

The 19's for sure, if and only if they are chrome, or I would like to look into getting the M6 rims chromed.

The 440 series are the "cheaper" wheels in the HRE lineup. I just checked their 06-07 prices and the 440 were $1000 for 18's and $1100 for 19's.

The price in Germany is 1,555 Euros, so I'd guess just under $2k US.

That is some BS. Those wheels don't justify that price. Maybe the CSL/Competition wheels do.

In general, if the wheels choices don't change, I think the selection is really weak. Worse than the previous model.

Only by bling fanatics. 3 Piece does not make a wheel better than 1 piece.

How many race cars do you see with HRE? How many race cars do you see with BBS or Work?

HREs look great and are good quality but they don't compare to the strength of some other wheels and I know of people who have had finish issues with them as well.

3 piece wheels just make it easier and cheaper to replace parts of the rim when you damage them. i.e. you curb your rims lip dont cry you can buy the lip and just replace the lip and not the whole rim. 3 piece also allows for more customization by painting or powdercoating or even chroming the rims.

I puroposely didn't include that, since there is not a national sales tax in the US. It's state by state, and mine is one of the couple that don't have any sales tax. We get hit by income tax and in other ways-no free lunch.

I hope you are right. If the stock 19s are chromed, I will just get the standard 18s and replace them with 19 inch BBS wheels.
