e92 Extended Warranty options - Any dealers offering discounted 100k warranty?

I've purchased extended warranties for BMW's that were still under the original factory 4yr/50k warranty. Sometimes a dealership will offer the warranty pricing at a significant discount for 6yr/100k miles.

I am looking for a discounted extension on an e92 m3 with 45,000 miles.

If anyone is offering one, please post or PM here. Also, please direct me to any dealer or rep who may be able to help!

an alternative is to call around and get prices from various dealers. Then see if your preferred dealer can match the lowest cost - or just go with the dealer that offered you the lowest.

That's what I did, and got ~$1,500 discount for my m5 when I bought extended warranty and extended maintenance combined.

I know Steve Thomas BMW is having a special right now. 300 over invoice for extended warranties. I just purchased one last week.

I got the 7 year/100k mile with my previous 335 and purchased it through a dealer from San Diego.
It doesn't matter what dealer you get it from.

For what its worth, here is a link to a thread I started last month about non-bmw extended warranties. In short I found a couple, one by Zurich and the other by Assurant through USAA. They were very similar in coverage, but I choose the one from USAA which was more than $1000 cheaper.

Assurant through USAA quoted me $6577 for 48mo or 100k miles.

The cost I received from Daniel (e-mail listed above) is below. I am quoting a portion of the e-mail Daniel sent me:

"With BMW you can choose between the Gold and Platinum level coverage (the main difference is that the Platinum will cover navigation, stereo, CD player, and entertainment and the Gold will not). For the 6 year / 100K plan it would be $4,550 for the Gold and $5,190 for the Platinum."

Is there an issue in buying a bmw extended warranty of you are the second owner? Assuming not and XX dealer is offering YY priice, how much more would you pay to get it from the dealer you would get service from (imho they treat their own better).

My warranty expires 10/12.

FYI - My local dealer quoted me $47xx for full coverage including idrive system or $42xx without it. MY08 for 6yr/100k top tier.

No, warranty only. Maintenance is likely another 3-4k on top. I haven't inquired as I wasn't interested in the maintenance, but it typically pays for itself after a brake job and inspection service.
