Since you asked...

Is that an image of a car or a portico? To my eye there's way too much foreground showing empty pavement and taking emphasis off the car. If the image had been tight in on the car, with the drive and background not dominating, then the Dutch angles might have been less distracting to my eye.

As Rodi says, you need to be real careful with it. Some people use it as an alternative to oversaturating their colors or doing every landscape in cartoonish HDR.

What do you think of the angle and edit on this product photo? I didn't use any strobes.

I can imagine a context where that works, like if you were documenting a work environment. The barrel distortion, Dutch angle and OOF logo are techniques that I notice a lot in advertising, so I can see it in a context like that.

Ok, I guess I'll keep it this way then.

Now if only I did selective color

But in all seriousness my quirks are tiltshift and selective color. They are over done. I think the dutch angle, if done right looks nice.

Nice looking car. The angle is not distracting on that one either. The dumpster in the background draws the eye a bit, though.

Not really the question I was asking but thats ok. To be honest I took picture a while ago and I wanted the portico(?) AND the car to dominate the photo (which they do IMO). I took a shot without the dutch angle and it just wasn't as compelling...at least with the dutch angle somebody has to notice...even if it does mess with your eyes

Add another to your list dcstep. I really don't like the tilted horizon stuff, and it seems overly represented in car shots.

I know, cell phone pic...but I just finished my day by tapping in for birdie on this beautiful, 440 yard hole at the Club at Nevillewood.

Very tough course...146 slope with a 74.9 rating. It don't get any better than this

Haha, thanks Scott... I was looking for feedback on the photo, not necessarily the object.

Why don't you like Logitech mice?

If this is meant to be a product shot you should probably spray the mouse with some canned air before you shoot it... or at least clone out the dust for a more professsional look.

Good idea Mike... I was thinking about that when I was going through the photos in post. It wasn't meant to be professional, or for a client, but I did want it to look good. I'll keep that in mind for the next one.
