Interest in an e9x m3 only drive this year?

Trying to get a pulse on this.

From my perspective, the BMW scene in the PNW is pretty dead compared to other groups. I don't really see any meets, drives or events going.

Would folks be interested in an e9x m3 only drive this year?

Something where we drive, book a hotel for the evening with some drinks, and then head back the following morning.

Would love to do something like this, but am curious if there is sufficient interest in such a thing from others.

If I'm in town, I'd be up for it. I travel a lot for work but with enough advance notice, I can get it on the calendar.

Yeah, this would be something planned well in advance so folks can make proper arrangements.

Let's do it! Maybe take one of the BMWcca routes somewhere?

I'm interested. I'm in the PDX metro area and I think some of you are Puget Sound but like others have said, some time on the calendar far enough out I can swing it.

Thanks all. Definitely looks like there is sufficient interest in getting something like this going.

My initial thought is something in late spring/early summer so we can guarantee good weather, and make sure we have sufficient notice for people to attend.

I absolutely welcome help from others in terms of planning. Maybe we can get a meetup going some time soon and kick some ideas around.

I miss the days where the squad rallys out to XXX for root beer floats and a greasy burger. I might head out there to stretch my legs today for old times sake. There used to always be something interesting in the parking lot to geek out on.

North being BC area? If you don't mind the Covid testing I would think the more the merrier. The border test requirements always changing makes it a pain. And now the labs I like to use sometimes can't meet the 72 hour deadline.

Still a bit cold for outside dining but there was a Ferrari FF to ogle for a while.

Are you planning a weekend date or something midweek - hopefully with less traffic and cyclists?

This would be a Saturday - Sunday sort of deal. I can't imagine we'd get very good attendance doing it mid week as most folks would have to take time off work.

If everyone could commit to taking time off in the middle of the week, I'd certainly entertain it, but I just can't see that working out well.

Makes sense. Just tossing that out there. I'm in either way

Don't post here often, but I'd be in for a trip. I'm in the PDX area but willing to drive up to WA if that's what the group decides.

Likely up for it! We use to get drives out to the coast etc. together all the time but the scene has definitely faded a bit in PNW. Would love to join; keep us posted.
