I believe the interval is really long, like >50k miles. But I'd also love to know this!

The OCI for these blowers is ~100k miles. You suck out the old fluid via a syringe and refill with the same volume that was removed.

Which OE platform uses the same TVS1740? Would be interesting to see the recommended service interval for that vehicle.

Looking at the back I don't see any drain holes. Taking the plate off will expose the gears. I believe might need to remove the top bolts and that will give you access but not sure

There a few tutorials online for DIY oil changes, but how many of us will actually hit 100k miles on these blowers? At that point you might as well send it in for a rebuild.

There is one kit available for July delivery at slightly higher cost. Those on the existing waiting list for kits end of year will have priority if interested in getting this one sooner. Anyone interested for this last kit let me know asap. the customer purchased it months ago and had to sell his car. thanks!

Kit was claimed today.

We will be reaching out to those on the waiting list to secure your kits for the end of the year in the next few weeks. There are potentially 3 or so slots available out of the ten for those interested. if you'd like to get one by first quarter next year, please make sure to reach out to us to get on the waiting list.

Also, there should be some news on higher stage availability in the next few months. Will likely offer it in small batches to those that have had the kit the longest. Have held off on offering it officially to avoid the possibility of 100-200 orders in a short period of time. We are putting together some ideas for how to roll this out without overwhelming our currently packed schedule and allocating enough time to finish projects here that have been sitting for a year.

Since its been a while since a stage 2 discussed, what is that going to entail?

Smaller crank pulley, injectors plus a tune?

Secondarily, is a map sensor that can read boost part of this package as well? You mentioned this a while back, and then at some point stated it wouldn't be part of an initial stage 2 launch. Again- that was some time ago, so I'm curious if the approach has changed, as a few years have passed.

Also curious if its just the crank pulley that would be changed, or if there will be pulleys for the other components on the same belt to compensate for the smaller crank pulley to avoid over driving them.

Glad to hear you are still working on this.

not going to discuss anything stage II - don't have the time. just wanted to let people know it's on the radar when things clear up here.

Some additional impressions and tips after having driven the car some more after installing the kit:
- I would suggest replacing your thermostat, coolant sensor, fuel tank, TAs, and whatever else sits under the manifold to avoid removing the blower. It's not that hard to remove and lay it upside down on the side given you have the length in the water lines, but why go through that hassle.
- Do not depend on the OEM MAP sensor to get a boost reading. I was getting ~2.6psi and thought I had a leak, but after using the port on the side of the blower, I saw that I was getting the expected 5.5-6.5psi.
- One of the water lines going to the reservoir might seem too long, but wait until you install the strut bar again before you trim it. I made the error of trimming it too short so I had to come back and lengthen it to avoid pinching the line between the strut bar and the cowl.
- The hard line going from the bottom of the reservoir to the passenger front of the heat exchanger makes it tight to remove the passenger side tension strut. If you plan on replacing that or add monoball bushing, you will have to loosen the hard pipe to get additional clearance to remove the bolt out of the arm.
- With an OEM filter and stock airbox, the whine from the kit is minimal. Granted, my exhaust is loud, but at idle you barely hear anything aside from the pulleys and the whine isn't prominent until you're really up in the rev range. I ended up swapping in a GruppeM replica intake to get some additional induction noise. For now the whine gives it some additional flair and its not as annoying as others make it seem.
- I have learned to drive around the hesitation at high load/low rpm, but it does rear its head every now and then when I'm too aggressive taking off from a traffic light or trying to pass and the DCT drive logic isn't at 4 or higher.
- The improved mid range is phenomenal. The car moves with ease and the boost response is instant once you're above ~3500RPM.

Once again, if you're on the fence, I would highly recommend picking up one of the kits if you're considering putting a blower on.

To quieten SC whine I did what's shown below. It reduces the SC whine volume primarily because the hood vent in front of the driver [sound outlet] is essentially closed off. The air-box still draws air in from the front bumper.

Thank you for this. I have GAS monoballs in new arms waiting to go in. Nice to know this beforehand.

It really does make you adjust how you drive the car in the low rpms. The car seems smoothest if you roll into the throttle below 3500. You get used to it, to the point I barely notice it anymore.

To provide additional detail, you will remove the bolt/nut holding the pipe to the oil cooler bracket and shove the pipe up. It wasn't a ton of clearance, but enough to remove the bolt and thread it back in without any risk of cross-threading.
