<<<Vancouver M3 Thread >>>

Hey guys! I'm wondering how many of you are from the west coast? I mainly see members from DT Toronto or the GTA and a few from Calgary but rarely any from Vancouver or from BC itself! Feel free to share anything here whether it may be questions or just things you come across. I'd be happy to know that there are people representing Vancouver/West Coast in this forum!

West coast here (but on the US Side )

That being said, I'm only an hour from Vancouver.

Anyone up for a gtg and drive?

There's a number of 604ers here, but not nearly as many (or as active) as the TO or Calgary folks.

A local 604 here, gtg and meet sounds good, either side of the border works for me.
Hopefully, more locals chime in .....

Hey guys, do any of you here know where I can get my car worked on for a reasonable price? I need to get my exhaust adjusted, rims powder coated, reflectors added on, and change the side gill stickers. Thanks!

I use Jessel Autohaus for stuff like exhaust and suspension installs. You should do some reading and learn to do the small stuff (reflectors, grills, gills, stickers, etc) yourself - it's actually pretty easy and fun!

Hey guys, I have a problem with my vehicle after installing my new exhaust. My gas milage went up 2x after installing them (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=648312) (Please read my first post and last post in that thread, thanks!) and I am wondering where I can take my car to in vancouver to have it checked out and maybe reinstall it.

I average 15.2L/100km, over the past 20,000km. So your numbers (17/12) don't seem alarming. This car just consumes a lot of fuel in a normal state.

I do about 8km/L on the highway before putting on the new exhaust, now I do 12. I've tried driving like I used with the new exhaust and the car downs the whole tank in a day while with the oem exhaust, it took 4 days (flooring it at times and revving it hard at times). Eversince I got this new exhaust system and driving like a grandma, I get gas 3x a week when I only get gas once every 10 days driving the same way but with the oem. I finish a quarter of the tank driving from ubc to Richmond and back, I didnt floor it, I drove 55km/hr the whole way. Even my buddies say theres sth wrong. Do you know who I can bring my car to? I don't want to bring it to the dealer because I'm scared they might void my warrenty

Take it to BMW Langley, ask to speak with Johnny. I have never dealt a better dealership or more helpful service advisor! Feel free to tell him Deep sent you and told you it's because nobody provides a better service

Another from the Vancouver area checking in. Well, I haven't got my car yet the wait is driving me crazy!!

Which brings me to the question I wanted to ask and am glad to see a local thread here

How long does it usually take for a factory order car to get here to our coast?

I placed the order in April; I did ask/tell them I want to have it "early July". So far the dealer has told me it's on time.

I just pinged today and was told it's "50% produced"... guess they slated me to get a June production car which makes sense based on my asking for "early July" delivery.

Anyone knows how many days to produce a M3? Then how many days of transit all the way from Germany to the West coast here?

Thanks!!

8L/100km is really low. I get about 300km/tank in the city, ~350km mixed city and hwy. I really don't think you're too far off.

Take Deep's advice and seek help from the dealer. If you're scared about warranty, swap back to your OEM exhaust first.

I have spoken with numerous individuals at BMW Langley and they have zero issues with customers installing cat-back exhausts. I had several employees compliment me on my exhaust note, none since I removed all four cats and both resonators though
