Talking ..::psi::..E92 M3 + Harrop Kit!

407.617.0372 | Email Us | Visit PSI

IT SEEMS THAT MOST THING'S IN AUSTRALIA ARE DEADLY...

Luckily for us, the Harrop kit isn’t deadly, but it sure makes some killer power!

The Harrop TVS1740 kit was designed specifically for the S65 V8 powered E9X M3. Engineered & manufactured in Australia, this is the world’s first positive displacement supercharger for the S65 engine. Now, if you are the least bit familiar with the S65 platform, you know how brilliant it is. However, it tremendously lacks low end torque. Thanks to the guys over at Harrop, we now have a solution.

This kit was so well engineered, it compliments the S65 E9X M3 platform in every way. The FDFI (front drive/ front inlet) design helps keep this beauty looking as OEM as possible with minimal restrictions in the bay. While the torque and top-end power improvements complete the drive-ability of this already spectacular car.

We had the pleasure of installing this kit on a completely stock E92 M3. Simple install. Non-invasive design. A little fine tuning … and we had ourselves one particularly amazing driving machine, with a little extra kick!

I had the harrop s/c fitted to my stock car with a k&n filter and new rod bearings. Peak kw 364 and torq 505 Nm. The throttle actuators died about 2000km after the s/c went in (after a track day). Since they have been refurbished by rebuild (uk) car has been a treat! Very happy with how it’s going. With the new hp I have warped my rotors at the track day (using pagid rs1 pads) so a break up grade will be the next step. I have also splashed out on some 18” Apex ec-7’s with 295 Michelin cup 2’s on the back. Can still get sideways on the motorway when changing up into 4th on a cold day though!
I ll try and up load the chart.

I am curious M3 post, do you have a dyno chart for your harrop? Also I noticed on the above charts they are suggesting 6.5psi of unverified boost. I have a P3 Gaige which surprisingly does tell me boost numbers and the highest it gets to is 5.

Thanks for the data in here - it is certainly useful for people like me weighing up whether to pull trigger on a Harrop kit that will see track time in the UK....

Perhaps there's a boost leak somewhere such as one of the throttle body rubber boots or perhaps the elevation above sea level affecting atmospheric pressure? Either could reduce the peak boost seen on the gauge.
