That should be fine you can run that spec or close in 19 inch wheel so with an 18 will be no problem.

Wow, so a 12mm spacer is needed up front to clear the V3's with 18x10 up front? Any photos? How close is the wheel/tire to the spring perch??

I just putted my Apex EC-7 18x10 ET25 Front and 18x11 ET25 rear with 275 35 18 Front and 285 35 18 Rear RS3's on my car, and i think i will need to add at least 5mm spacer to front, because i think the front tires are just rubbing my kw clubsport spring.

Tires / Miles: Michelin Pilot Super Sport (F/R) 285/35/18

EDC Setting: N/A

Alignment: (F) OE specs, alignment pin pulled (R) OE specs

Fender Modifications: (F/R) None

Rubbing?: Slight rubbing on front fender at full steering lock for the first few days; no rubbing now.

Notes: The front wheel wells are perfectly filled. There is ~3mm clearance at the strut. For the street this is perfect, but racing conditions might rub due to bearing and tire deflection. With -2* front camber and +25, a 295 should fit in the front. The rears have ample room-- probably another 15-20mm of room, in fact.

(edit 2/13/2014: correction front offset)

Car: 2012 M3 E93

Wheels w/Offsets: Dinan Spec BBS CH-R 19x9.5 et 35 / 19x10.5 et 25

Spacers: None

Tires: Michelin Pilot Super Sport (F) 265-30-19 (R) 295-30-19

Alignment: Dinan spec

Fender Modifications: (F) None (R) None

Rubbing?: (F) No (R) YES

Comments: this modification just completed, some rubbing in the rear, mostly focused on Driver's side when going over large bumps, seems to be tolerable with 1-2 passengers, going to EDC Normal mode from Comfort improves resistance to rub, noticed Pilots have larger "tread width" measurement compared to other brands for same size (very square), tires rubbing on outside edge of tread, maybe another brand would not rub

Hope this helps someone in the future as I did research and read a lot of reviews saying it would rub, obviously people who have never tried.

Car: e92 m3

Wheels w/ Offsets: (F/R) 19x10 et25 zcp's all around

Spacers: (F) n/a, (R) 12mm

Tires / Miles: Bridgestone Pole Position S04's(F) 265/35/19 (R) 275/35/19

Suspension: Lowered on SWIFT springs

EDC Setting: N/A

Alignment: (F) OE specs (R) OE specs

Fender Modifications: (F/R) None

Rubbing?: Not even close on all 4 corners.

Comments: I could easily do 275 in the front, and 295 in the rear... or 10mm spacer in front, 15 in rear

So what size spacers will be needed to run 18x10 +25 with 275/35 RS3's with KW Clubsports?

TIA!

I'm looking at this exact CH-R set up for my car and was concerned at first when I saw you were rubbing...but when I saw your tire sizes I understood. Those are some beefy sizes ! Tire rack shows these wheels with 245/35-19 F and 265/35-19 R rubber. Can you please post pics? Thx.

Tire sizes/wheels were recommended by Dinan staff (HQ) when I got the S-1 performance pkg installed. When I picked up the car, after installation, the tech told me about a "little rubbing... only rarely"-- amazingly enough the shop manager also pointed me to a small note on the website which claimed there may be some interference in some cases (I wish they had said that up front!).

Anyway, I have a few more miles on the setup and found that by setting the EDC in NORMAL mode, the rubbing has pretty much stopped for all conditions. The ride is obviously a bit stiffer and I am not sure what will happen if I have more than two people in the car... but I do like the handling, feels sticky, flat and still crisp.

Will send along a few pics shortly...

Cheers!

Attached photos of the wheels/tires (apologize for the dirt/grime, it finally decided to rain in NorCal )

You can see the tires do fill the wheel wells, there is no inside rubbing, but in the pic of the isolated driver's side rear, you can see some rub marks on the outside edge of the tire. This happened in the first couple of days before stiffening the EDC setting. Close inspection indicates it is body paint from the wheel well flange, I believe from the edge where the fender and the rear bumper cover meet (but it is not obvious)...

Hope this helps. Best,

Dave

Dave -

You may want to double check your front offset. BBS does not make that wheel in a 9.5" et20. It is available in 9.5" et35 or 9" et 20 (and 8.5 et32 among other sizes). Based on your pictures, it looks like you have the 9.5" et35 version. The "Dinan Spec" CH-R's are regular CH-R's with Dinan center caps. No special size or offset for Dinan.

Slicer,

You were correct, front offset for the Dinan spec wheels I have (Dinan part no. D750-0034-CHR-BPO) is et35 not et20.

Thanks for making me aware! I have corrected the post.

Cheers!

Damn, you got a pic of those 305's from the rear? That must look sexy.

I want as wide as possible on my stock ZCP. Tempted to keep the 245/35 F and do 295/30 R.

Will I rub?

I have 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +22 TE37.

I need new tires and I'm planning to get PSS 265/35/19 and 285/35/19.

Will I rub with that set up and size? I am dropped a little on KW Sleeves.

I am open to suggestions.

Thanks!

Can anyone confirm if I'd have any issues with rubbing on the following setup?

E92 M3 on KW Sleeve
19x9.5 ET18 265/30/19 PSS
19x11 ET 25 295/30/19 PSS

From my research searching this thread and other posts, it looks like I’d rub if I went 305 in the rear but should be fine with 295. I’m more questioning the fronts- 275/30 looks like I’d rub, but don’t know whether I’d be better going 265/35 or 265/30. I’m trying to avoid having to make any major camber adjustments. Thanks.
