Most Coveted Color Combo?

Im in the market for an e92 and really like the zcps in laguna seca blue with tan interior and white with red interior but was wondering if there is a coveted color spec for this model.

Alpine White and Black interior were ordered more than any other Combo and separately on their own.

For all members a recent poll showed that Alpine White is the number one color. Hopefully someone can link the poll.

But your question is a little different, Laguna Seca is an awesome color but there were not many made due to it being an individual ($$$) color. You should somehow put up a poll with a bunch of color combos if possible.

My favorite is Melbourne Red with Fox Red for a car I could afford and is realistic. But if I had the money for individual colors I like your Laguna Seca with Saddle Brown.

Link below of the referenced poll BOOF-M3 was talking about:

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1460863

Alpine White was most popular among those polled, followed by Space Grey, Interlagos Blue, Melbourne Red, Silverstone II, Jerez Black, Le Mans Blue, Mineral White, Jet Black, Sparkling Graphite in that order.

In terms of color breakdowns by total number produced, reference the below chart.

Of course, all of this doesn't mean less common colors are less desirable.
As mentioned above, Fire Orange on the Lime Rock Park edition is indeed, very desirable, as are certain individual colors (i.e., Santorini Blue).

I just realized you said Laguna Seca Blue and not Le Mans Blue. Only 19 LSB were ever made for the E9x generation, so get your magnet for that needle!

I don't think you can go wrong with any shade of blue from BMW. In my opinion, they own the best shades of blue and always have. From estoril to avus to Interlagos to lemans to tanzanite to San Marino and so on. Combo on E9x in my opinion is Monte Carlo on rust brown. Or Interlagos on Fox red.

I almost bought an interlagos on Fox red and I went back and fourth on this color combo and wasn't the biggest fan in the end. The owner of the car said it's the Superman color combo which gave me a slightly better view of it but in the end I got interlagos with tan interior. The black interior is too plain for me and although fox red interior is my favorite I chose my car based more on exterior color.

Cool. For some reason the white zcp with red interior is pulling me. Theres a base black on black 2011 in my area thats nice but Its missing the adjustable suspension and I think I might regret it.

The most coveted color would be the one you personally like the most. The bright colors like yellow, red, orange might delay a resale in the future as there are less people that would be interested in them as opposed to white, black and silver.

Im a sucker for MR and SSM. Wishing there were a couple BSM or of course TV2 to pick from in the market. Ive got a mint green which certainly draws a lot of attention, not all of it favorable. Haha.

Is that the ONE Mint Green that was made from the factory or is it a wrap? I think it's a killer color!

Silverstone over Fox Red, ZCP, carbon roof. I couldn't find one over about 9 months of casual looking and 3 months of serious looking.

My runner up is Interlagos over bamboo, best on E90.

IB with black cloth is the most beautiful and desired by two country miles. Funny that's what I have on my car.

Seriously though AW over Fox Red is hard to beat. Melbourne Red over Tan is also very sexy. When it comes to Lemans Blue I'd take Bamboo Tan interior if you want a pop or black for a classic look.

Any Individual color is the most coveted, no question. Which for me would be Laguna Seca Blue, Fire Orange and Dakar Yellow.

After that I think the black colors are least desirable. And grey interior the least desirable.

Mineral White is by far the best "regular" paint option.

I hope that helps!!

I have the only Z4M Roadster in Interlagos over Imola/Carbon produced and I've always referred to it as the Superman combo! Fox is very close to the Imola in the Z4M. They made six Z4M coupes in this configuration. I wonder how many E9x M3s are out there.

Interesting perspective, for some reason - I'm on the other side thinking a brighter, less produced colour would be easier (and command a higher premium) for resale due to the uniqueness and rarity.

For the white, black, silver etc - you would be competing with several other listings that have the same colour and need to have another angle to attract a potential buyer (ie. have a lower price).

Agreed. Bright colors are great for a car like this. The "average people want silver" thing doesn't apply to a car that a) was pretty in pretty limited (and is still extant in rapidly declining) numbers, and b) appeals almost exclusively to car geeks.
