e9x m3 meetup 5/21/22 XXX Rootbeer Issaquah, WA

Hey all!

Setting up an e9x m3 meet.

What: E9x M3 meetup. Meet other e9x M3 owners from the PNW, eat a burger, talk about ideas for a summer drive. (planning for July)

Where: XXX Rootbeer in Issaquah, WA
98 NE Gilman Blvd, Issaquah, WA 98027

When: 11AM-whenever, Saturday 5/21/22.

Hopefully the weather cooperates. If the weather turns out to be complete garbage, we will reschedule. I don't think any of us want to stand out in the rain.

Be aware- There is a WSP office at the i405/i90 interchange. WSP loves to pull people over on i90 between 405 and Issaquah (lazy easy tickets next to their home base). DO NOT SPEED on that 7 mile strech of I90. I see someone pulled over nearly every time I am on that part of I90.

Issaquah PD has certainly been less than fun at times, so be careful when you enter Issaquah and don't do anything stupid.

Hope to see you all there!

EDIT 5/5/2022: The weather has unfortunately decided not to cooperate, and we will need to postpone the original 5/7/2022 date to 5/21/2022. Lets hope for good weather on the new date!

Is the the Burgers & BMWs event that the local BMWCCA chapter puts on most years, or something totally separate?

+1 on I-90 from 405 to Issaquah - WSP hornet's nest on that stretch.

Cool thanks.

And actually I was just now on the XXX Burger events page and it looks like they are hosting Burgers & BMW's May 22nd. That's been a pretty cool meet over the years.

I think that's right... so 2016 or earlier (I got my E90 same year as you). Time to plan a return trip!

There's no events at the XXX on 5/7 - good day to meet up assuming weather holds out, I will plan on join at this point.

Cool, a reason to throw on some miles for on the E92 this year.

I'm coming from the E46 M3 platform, in the market for an E92 as we speak. Cool to see some activity on here in the E9X world, didn't find too much for the E46 when i searched! Excited to join y'all.

I'm out. There's about 0% chance I will not catch covid this week. My sister infected my dad who is recovering from triple bypass surgery at my house. As of today I'm the only one in the family and extended family that hasn't popped hot. Even my cousins recently that stopped by to check in on pops tested hot. I'm beyond furious.

That's awful. Went through a similar ordeal a couple months ago.

I'm keeping a close eye on the weather, which isn't looking so hot at the moment. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll postpone. I'll post an update Friday morning to let folks know if Saturday is still on or not. Worst case, we will punt it out a few weeks.

POSTPONED

It seems pretty evident at this point that the weather isn't doing us any favors. Non stop rain for as long as there are forecasts for, with Saturday being the worst day.

We'll unfortunately need to postpone.

I currently targeting 2 weeks out to give the weather a chance to stabilize.

New date: 5/21/2022 @11AM

I do see that XXX on their events calendar the BMW CCA Burgers and BMW's on 5/22/2022, but I can't see any mention of that on the PNW BMW CCA's website or facebook page (not listed as an upcoming activity on either). There may be some logic in consolidating these events- but as I am uncertain if that event is even happening, it doesn't make much sense to try to consolidate it.

My thinking now is lets meet on 5/21/2022, and if BMWCCA is having their event the next day, those that want can come back for that one too.

Congrats! My e90 is Lemans Blue. The ZCP wheels are porsche silver and the windows have a ceramic tint - it's a stunning combo without being out-there.
