what is a good lease deal?

lets say there's a new m3 with 63k msrp. almost base model.

36month, 15k miles per year, no down payment.

what would be a standard normal lease deal?

and then a good lease deal

I'm paying $999 for 36 months and put $1600 total down. 09 lease rates are about the same as my 08 rate. MSRP was $64,225. 1300 is way high.

Yup, $1,300.00 a month is excessive. Plus right about the second year you may be regretting that kind of payment. Theres just something about going over $1,100.00 that pains in a long lease or loan. Just my nickel speaking from experience.

The residuals and MF's SUCK ASS on these cars. Ok $1300 may be high but you can almost 100% be assured that it will be north of $1K.

I've already talked to couple of people who got a deal less than 1k without any down, and these people had a deal couple months ago i dont see a reason why i cant now, not to mention the upcoming release of 2010 model.
I see dealerships selling cars at invoice price, why not an invoice lease deal.

I got my left over 08 in Jan 09 for $710 + tax a month for 36 mos 15kmil/yr, but that was when BMW was offering 0.00025 MF and 52% residual.

Yeah, the rates are poor for 09's right now.

Best to find someone else's car to take over the lease.

leaseswap.com

Check out ridewithg.com and leasecompare.com

ridewithg.com is a blog that shows you the lease numbers for all popular cars.

leasecompare.com can get a 3rd party bank to lease the car to you.

What's the down payment requirement? We never pay any down for leases.

How many months is the lease? What's the mileage allowance. We typically talk about 36mos/15k term.

says nothing but 0 down payment for 36month.

but in conclusion yea i think i will end up around 950~1150 per month

and like someone said, currently the 09 leases are less than attractive and i guess i will have to agree with it.

$1150 a month for a lease is kinda nuts.

You could buy (finance) it at 2.9% for 60 months and pay just a tad more monthly.

Figure out what the invoice price of the car you want first then go from there. Dont pay sticker of course.

If you are looking for a good deal it's going to probably be Oct-Dec on remaining '09s.

At the rate some of these dealers are going, you may still see 08's on the lot.
