Me also, I noticed however after careful inspection that the rear portion did not make full contact. I tested it using a piece of paper and I was able to slide a piece of paper showing lack of contact with the 3m Tape. Its the rear portion after it dips inward. The location is circled on your photo. Take a piece of paper and try sliding it around in the area and see if yours slides through.. On the two areas on both sides, before it dips inward and on the front of the spoiler, I have full contact and I tried to take it off and it is stuck on there like the devil so I'm leaving it as is...
How about removing that sticky crap under the OEM spoiler? Took me over an hour... Last edited by M3-S65; 01-28-2014 at 10:54 AM.. |

@Edward is an arts and crafts master. He ran two strips of tape under there for maximum adhesion. We even tweaked the tape setup to get my corner edges to sit flush. (This drove him to consider ripping the spoiler off his car for a redo). Regarding the glue ... I took off my OEM spoiler when I got to my office and had the detailing guy wash me up. He noticed the gunk and hit it with a high speed buffer and some sort of non-Goo Gone solution. I was able to get the residue off in about 20 minutes. Best $23 wash ever. |

This isn't to say I got off unscathed. I have a blister the size of a dime on my finger from rubbing the residue off. @Edward has unbeatable tape game. When you tap on the flat part of your spoiler, does it rattle at all? |

Looks hot! Just curious, what drop setup you got on?

Has anyone had trouble removing the old spoiler adhesive with the 3m adhesive remover? I used that stuff to remove a five year old clear bra and it pretty much dissolved all the glue. Took no time at all to get the entire front half of the car cleaned up. Just curious since I'll be installing my spoiler this weekend.
