1 yard is enough for the steering wheel trim, center console, and the trim around the rear vents but there's not going to be much room for error.

I ordered 3 yard and they squeezed it into the same box (that probably why I have issues with creases). I'm not sure why I wanted to much extra but I'm glad I did.. I plan to make those pad things that slip between the seat and center console to prevent things from falling through.. I think they are called Drop-Stop. Just have to borrow my mother's sewing machine.. But that's another topic lol

The creases come out anyway when you apply a little heat to it.

I have a small contribution to this thread, I'll post pics this evening

I rolled it, but it actually came rolled in the first place.

In reading over this thread, I guess I got a different material. I have a 3M di-noc that is adhesive back already, no add'l adhesive required. Picked it up off eBay a bit ago.

*lol* In looking around on other threads, I haven't seen it done before. IMO, though, it's a very small subtle detail, but it makes things look soooooo much better.

Literally a "small" contribution *lol*. I really didn't care much for the arrows that were on top of the unit. The black cap on top pops right off, so it was just a matter of heating and trimming. Feels much, much better.

I have to pop the top back off to adjust the orientation to correspond with the rest of the trim, but that's about it.

I am wrapping my interior parts in the carbon leather trim at long last. How are you guys wrapping the leather on the corners of the little cubbies without it looking like crap? I'm finding this to be the hardest part.

What are the cubbies.. the ashtray?

If your looking at the center console, see how the factory leather is wrapped.

Yeah, ashtray. It's hard to see how the factory leather is wrapped without them having to crease it.

The only thing I can think is to fasten down each of the corners first, then work toward the insides.

I believe I started in the corners worked my way to the centers. There really isn't a correct order or place to start. You gotta feel it out. Technically, it shouldn't matter since the wrap gets folded straight in.

In the corners, I made little cuts to fan out the fabric but the cuts never visible. The cuts come very close. I (super) glued each finger of the "fan", folding them over one at a time. Take your time and don't super glue until you're sure its folded how you want it.

Again, take your time. Think before each cut.

Sorry that's not much help.. It's easier to demonstrate then write it out.

Edit: Tried a different technique and was able to successfully do the trim piece around the air vent and ashtray in the rear. The covers for the ashtrays are still a PITA, though.

Alright, gents. So far so good. I've managed to do everything but the main centerpiece in the front cabin. I've been saving that for last since it appears to be the most difficult.

Any tips or tricks as I tackle that last part? I'm particularly unsure what to do around the part where the CIC controller attaches.

Looking good! I actually found that the pieces that you have already done, to be the hardest. Go for it!

I haven't really looked into the CIC controller well enough (I have CCC). Does the controller trim come off like the CCC?
