Got my new oil filler cap, my old one had a very minuscule leak, replaced before it got bad.
$23.52 cad from BMW themselves Curious about one thing, I was reading they changed the cap logo design to remove the "BMW recommends Castrol" since they no longer have the partnership but I was given the one with the text. No big deal, but they did revise the part number for the filler cap two other times.

Found out that a dry hot day with stop and go traffic will cause the oil temp to rise a bit...
Usually the oil hangs out just below 100C.

Had the blower motor wiring recall done on the 2011 this week. BMW escalated it for me due to it being type 1 and blower stopped working.

Added some m4 style double slit, carbon grilles. Was unsure when ordering but it totally transforms the look of the car. People are staring a lot more because I believe everyone is subconsciously used to seeing chrome and this catches their attention. I don't like or recommend the racing colour stuff, I think it cheapens the look. IMHO

I saw one just the other day on an AW E93. Not a huge fan either.
As for the double slit grills, I am torn. One the one hand they do update the look a bit to the F8X standard, but on the other I think they look a bit out of place on the E9X since it's from a different gen and removes some of the originality.

On the double slat I think it may be more that you’re so used to the original look so it seems a lil out of place, others who haven’t seen it everyday might look at it a lil diff if they notice it |

Yeah, could be. Likely those unfamiliar with the M would look at it and think it's an M4.

lol, nobody is going to confuse it with an M4 just because of the practically unnoticeable change of the double slat grille design. The people who confuse an E9x M with an F8x M would be confused regardless of grille style.

The key here, is you must buy the double slats like I've done with minimal gaps between them. If you get the ones with fewer pairs of lines, the gaps between them is significantly greater and makes the whole car look cheap. |
