that's what I'm thinking, I'm not even sure it's meant for this chassis or just installed wrong, it looks odd.

Freaky Parts front brembo kit, these are setup for stock sized rotors. I was looking to drop some unsprung weight and also improve the looks. I’m not expecting much in the way of performance as I don’t track the M3, but it’s definitely going to look awesome behind the Apex wheels. I’ll likely pair these with PFC rotors to drop a few more pounds.

I second this - would love to see them installed. Does anyone know if you can fit the larger OEM front calipers to the rear rotors?

thank you!

i actually never made a full build thread for my Z. i did a detailed TT DIY thread on my GTM install but most of the photos are dead unfortunately.

It was a fairly mild build, 10:1, GT2860’s, .86 AR. On a built engine it made about 570whp/550tq on 93 octane, had plenty more in it obviously

thank you! it was without a doubt my favorite car I've owned to date. I almost bought a newer nismo model in white, that's how much I missed how it made me feel. I decided to get the M3 instead as I wanted to keep this car NA and I know the limits of the 3.7. Also, if I am honest hanging around too many GTR's, I've grown tired of hearing the VQ trumpet.

My goal is for the M3 to surpass that car in fun factor, with the yet to be installed parts and future plans I have no doubt the M3 will be sticking around for a very long time.

Post 3/21/20 (57,287 miles): Fuel vent valve, Eventuri Plenum, Depo LED tails

Quarantine mods! Had to replace the fuel vent valve so might as well upgrade the plenum and let these ITB’s sing!

Installing was straightforward, a 1/4” 6mm with several extensions and a swivel allow you to remove the plenum by just removing the airbox.

When reinstalling, i found it difficult to get the plenum to seat into the throttle bodies, the trick is to make sure the clamps aren’t too tight initially as it prevents it from seating properly.

The sound is amazing, really amplifies the induction noise. My GoPro 4 doesn't do this any justice, but heres a few clips:

Also finally removed the tacky “rear diffuser” and spoiler that came with the car and installed a low profile carbon spoiler and some Depo euro style LED tail lights.

The spoiler is a cheap ebay part but quality is pretty good, using a heat gun it fits perfect. The LED tails make the car look so much newer, I love it!

was wondering if anyone would notice hah, that's project #4. I may end up selling it. It's a 280z with some rust but pretty good shape. Sitting next to it is a VQ35HR w/6speed from an 07 350 that I was planning on swapping. It's one of those builds that I keep putting off because there's just so much to do to it.

Post 3/28/20 (57,344 miles): Freakyparts Brembo 4 piston calipers

It's getting a bit warmer so finally got around to installing the Freakyparts 4 piston brembo kit meant for stock rotors. The kit comes with brand new calipers, pad pins, brackets, hardware and SS lines. Also picked up some stoptech street pads and ATE 200 fluid.

I hate how the stock calipers look, like something you'd find on a truck. I wanted something that looked the part, but I have zero intentions of tracking this car so I didn't need any of the crazy $4k+ kits out there. I also wanted to drop as much unsprung weight as possible within a budget, so keeping the stock rotor size made the most sense for me.

Overall, for less than $800 USD this is a fantastic value. I plan on pairing this with a set of PCF 2 piece rotors to drop even more unsprung weight.

Only problem I ran into was with the SS lines. They were a bit loose in the bracket so I added a copper washer to take up the slack.

All mounted!

Finally, I wanted to prevent the brake pad sensor warning from popping up. These "sensors" are a simple circuit, when the brake pad gets low enough it cuts the sensor wire breaking the circuit. I cut up the stock pad lines and soldered them together, now the circuit is always complete, no warning tripped.

Now she just needs a drop!

Did you buy these directly from their website or is this a used setup?

Car looks great BTW. Lots of mods pretty quick, hope to see the car in person im in NJ.
