Anyone have the DTM Fiberwerkz Diffuser?

Hey guys,

I did numerous searches but I couldn't find anyone with this rear diffuser. If anyone has this, or has used it before...please chime in! It looks fairly aggressive...so I'm curious to see what it looks like on a members car.

Ideally...I'd love the varis rear diffuser, but if I had that kinda money...I would be driving a lambo

Here's their website:

That is also known as the 3F diffuser. Check out member "tightie"'s m3 or "DD RD GT3"'s old m3.

Maybe I'm seeing it wrong...but that doesn't look like the diffuser I'm talking about. There are no fins going towards the outside of the bumper.

^^That is Josh's car, but that's how it looks now with the Gintani Aero add ons and the matte blue wrap. Before, he had the 3F front lip, diffuser and trunk spoiler. Brian from Gintani, aka Niterider, also had them on his e90.

Here's some links to some photos:

Thanks for the links! In the last link..you can see the diffuser a little.

I'm assuming the DTM Fiberwerkz rear diffuser is a replica?? Or is the 3F the replica??

I can't understand it. Every diffuser seems that it would take an equal amount of time and effort to manufacture. Why are some like $400 and the ones I like $1500+. I give up.

Honestly I am happy with the reps...I dont care about brand name as long as it looks good and fits well. I'd rather pay 400 for something that looks 80% same as 1,500+ lol

the reason why some parts are $400 and some are 1500+ is because they skimp out on the main ingredients. Such as some skimp out on good resin, they will replace high temp epoxy resin with cheap polyester resin(epoxy cost 3x more than polyester), skimp on on uv protected gel coat and only use lacquer clear coat and not both. They sometimes don't even bag the parts and just leave it wet and inconsistent. Even worse they will used dyed plain weave 1x1 pattern fiberglass instead of 1x1 carbon. The product will look the same, but will definitely worth only $400. Don't forget to figure in hours in labor to pay some one over seas vs. in the US and overhead cost to manufacture the part.

But I do feel that some people out there are just out there just to make a huge profit on composite parts.

I get what you're saying..."You get what you pay for", but at the same time...I can't justify spending over $1,000 for a diffuser. It all comes down to the "M" badge. You can take the same diffuser and slap it on a subaru and it'll only cost ya $400. It's just frustrating
