I suppose it's accumulated a lot of layers over the last few summers and still beads well. I'm anxious to try the no silica based products or maybe even try ceramic coating.

First time ever being forced to use a valet.. at resort in the mountains. Was bitching with the wife about it and she said I was being ridiculous. I still declined, but it ended up being necessary due to clearance at the self park garage (it would have bottomed totally according to the valet guys).
I rarely ever see any e9x M3s in North Carolina. just as I gave in, a nicely modded E93 M3 pulled up right beside me, and immediately I could hear the driver bickering with his wife about the valet, saying these guys don't know the DCT... "told you" I told my wife. |

Giving mine the once over today before I head to New Orleans tomorrow for a few days, an 8 hour drive. As to the valet as mentioned previously, the wifey booked a hotel by the quarter that is valet parking only. Still grumbling and twitching over that! Ugh.....

Haha I know I definitely drove around the block to park on my own and drove out of places after seeing valet only I am trying to remember whether I have had to valet park my car in the past 1 year that I have owned it... I think I managed to avoid valet parking completely (valeted my wife's car a few times .. and even those were only a handful of times)

Did transmission fluid.
Had a notchy feeling when going from 1st gear to 2nd gear. Feels much better now. Note* I did snap off one of the bolts going to the protecting pan (One was already snapped off) I didn’t take it seriously when ista mentioned they might need to be replaced. Bought this ashtray gauge pod from a forum member.. it was painted white professionally but it didn't match my whip so I sanded it and painted it wrinkle black. One gauge is gonna be for diff temp, one for water temp for air to water intercooler for S/C and not sure what to make the third, any suggestions? I already have an awron gauge for boost and everything else but don't wanna leave an empty hole. Also installed temp sensor in differential.

Good times. 105F and A/C worked great. Dialed up 10 clicks out on the Ohlins...and drove M240 & M340s on the track.

had a very productive evening
1. take off intake and plenum to reinstall plenum (hoping to get rid of an odd buzzing noise) 2. install macht schnell stage 2 intake kit (filter, air filter elbow, air scoops) 3. swap out black glossy kidney grill and install matte black kidney grill 4. clutch stop 5. finally install ZHP shift knob the intake by itself ... hard to really notice any difference except at higher rpm but intake plus valved exhaust open - much more low end growl and throaty sound clutch stop made that clutch travel super short very responsive the zhp shift knob feels great friend gave me his f80 m3 alcantra shift boot to use in my car ... it is sort of clunky for now will have to re-fit it to look a little nicer later

If you see some deals on low mileage M240s and M340s don't do it! These cars went from hot laps to shut off all day. I could hear the turbos crying. Full day sessions are full which sucks because I would like to drive a M5, but there are a lot of AM & PM 1/2 day sessions (M2-4) for M Track Days in October.

Wired up the diff gauge and water temp gauge... it's cool they go amber with the headlights on.. not bad for $55/each from prosport via ECS. I will have to get creative with how they attach to the pod itself because none of the hardware provided works with this pod.

Nice displays^
Oil is draining while I am at Costco. Picked up a 36mm socket and this low profile rectangular oil drain pan from Autozone. Able to jack one side get plugs out and drop jack for even flow. FCP delivered my stuff early which is cool.
