First Generation iDrive Knob Mod

A week ago i was bored at home and i bought this knob in ebay:

then, i thought how to adapt to my CCC iDrive Knob.

Looks good. My CCC knob has come off. Maybe I should do this. Or convert to CIC.

I did it like this because the cic conversion is too expensive for me.

DCT to 6MT? What's with the difference ?

Very cool! Nice compromise between full CIC swap and original (IMO ugly) CCC knob

It is two different cars. The OP just used the first image as a comparison.

How did you guys remove the cic knob? Do you just pull up or are there tabs?
