They actually have a half day session (3 x 20 min sessions) that I will be registering for. You just need to be there NLT 1130. This all depends on whether my new tires come in though on time though. :P

Yeah, I don't have tires for the track yet. I do usually try to get there around or before then though.

From reading the website, I thought you only had two options on when to show up.
I'm going to assume you've raced around there before. Does it get pretty packed during the open track days? This is the first time I'd be tracking this car and would like a little bit of wiggle room to get a good understanding of the car. |

I've never driven on the track myself. And I haven't been for an Open Track day for cars, only the NASA track weekend and the Open Track day for bikes. For the races I saw during the NASA track weekend, there were probably about 10-15 cars on the track. For the bikes, it seemed to just be a few go out when they want a few laps, pit, tweak and return eventually. Never seemed too crowded on the track.
I'm not certain about the times, but I'm friends with the BD & Technology Director from a previous job so I'll try to get some clarification from him tomorrow and let you know. |

Yeah just trying to find some information. I'll be making a 4 hour hike to get there and just want to have a good time on my very very limited time off. I'm trying to get a few guys from the base to come with but it seems pretty limited. :P
Anyway, any further information would be greatly appreciated. |

You're correct, there are two different sessions.
And he said it hasn't been very crowded previously. I doubt they'd over book it to where it wasn't enjoyable anyway. |

There are a few of us down in NOLA. 2011 Space grey E90 M3 here, Ryan (kiln) has an Alpine White E90 M3. Seen several others around town as well but nothing well organized. We do go C&C here in town but never made the trip to BR. Maybe when football season cranks up and I'm in town for an LSU game...

I"ll try to make the next one - I'm from Lafayette, so I don't go every time. Hopefully the weather will be a little cooler over the next few months.

Im in NOLA and have a Jerez Black 2008 E93 6MT. Although I'm suffering withdrawals right now as it's in the shop after a minor accident. Would be neat to meet up with some fellow M3 owners.
and where/when is the C&C you mentioned in September. I would really like to attend that! |

where did you get your work done? I'm fairly new to the area and was so worried about going to just a random shop. Ended up at color tech, they had done some bumper repair on my 328i, and liked their work...

Place out in Kenner called Jay's Body Shop. They are the "official" BMW certified body shop in town and I've had good experiences with them with my BMW's over the years..

I'm hoping to be there - depending on how the rest of the week goes. It's a charity event this month, last month was huge, and there is a LSU home game that night so I plan to show up early and probably leave early as well.

Had a great time at Cars and Coffee yesterday, There was a few M's there as well as multiple beautiful cars! I'll be back! Didn't get any good pictures of the other M's.
But here is mine and a couple of my favorite shots!
