Some people where asking about the space opened up. Here it is.
We are actually thinking about moving the oil cooler to this location near the driver duct to clear up more air for the radiator.

I think it's a great idea. Maybe run both? I think you'd have to figure out a way to plug the lower oil cooler outlet to keep forcing air through the main radiator.
Seems like it would be pretty easy to run two oil coolers in-line. B&M makes a variety of square coolers with built in fans.

We went with a setrab oil cooler that is there series 9 with 25 rows. Utilizing the old intake ducting will seal it up for a lot of unrestricted air flow.

If you go that route, I'd like to see it. I don't think I'll ever go there with this car, but I do like to look and see results.

Those are huge vents. Should you worry about water going into the engine bay?

They have BMW universal ones as well. These we actually going in my race tech GTA Honda Fit but they where a little big for his car. They fit really well and should really reduce the pressure under hood and temperatures.

No not particularly. Car is stored in a garage and don't really run in the rain unless I have too.

I was like wtf you want to put the oil cooler on the hood? for a minute there, lol
yeah the intake duct is a great place for an oil cooler if you're not using it for intake anymore that's a lot of wasted air going in the front and just swirling around too, you could duct it up and out the hood vent if you want to get really fancy and clean up the frontend aero a little

Yeah me too.
Headed to the track tomorrow to test the cooling solutions. Should be a good day to test high 90s and humid here in Georgia.

Good luck, will be curious to hear. I will be getting my car next week and will be doing the same. The weather has "cooled off" in AZ with our monsoon rain so it should be in the 90's and humid here too.

Car performed great in 95 degree weather.
Oil never above 255 and water never above 220 really happy. Car also felt more planted with the vents.

Took a few more pics to show people the oil cooler and how we mounted and then cut a vent to the wheel well for it to flow.
Also installed a rear facing camera. Great for getting in and out of paddock space and seeing cars coming from behind. Also we had to modify the OEM oil lines to accept AN fitting. Pretty straight forward. Cut connections off OEM lines, weld desired AN fitting on.
